    摘要: A damper comprises an inner tube having a longitudinal axis with a piston slidably disposed in the inner tube. An outer tube surrounds the inner tube and defines a fluid chamber therebetween. A first valve assembly includes a first valve ring and a first valve disc fixed to the first valve ring. The first valve disc covers a first passageway to restrict flow therethrough in a first direction and allow flow in an opposite second direction. A second valve assembly includes a second valve ring and a second valve disc fixed to the second valve ring. The second valve disc covers a second passageway through the second valve ring to restrict flow therethrough in the second direction and allow flow in the first direction. The first valve assembly is axially spaced apart from the second valve assembly.

    摘要: A damper assembly includes an outer tube and an inner tube disposed in the outer tube defining a fluid space therebetween. The inner tube defines an inner volume. A piston is slidably disposed in the inner tube and divides the inner volume into a rebound working chamber and a compression working chamber. An active rebound valve is fluidly connected to the rebound working chamber and the fluid chamber, and an active compression valve is fluidly connected to the reserve chamber and the compression working chamber. An intake assembly is positioned in the fluid chamber to control the fluid flow through the active rebound valve and into the compression working chamber during a rebound stroke and to control fluid flow from the compression working chamber through the active compression valve and into the rebound working chamber during a compression stroke.

    摘要: A cylinder-piston unit with load-dependent damping includes a piston longitudinally displaceable in a cylinder. The piston has a first piston channel and a second piston channel, which each connect a compensation space on one side of the piston to a displacement space side on an opposite side of the piston. On the displacement space side a throttle channel connects one first piston channel to the piston lateral surface. On its displacement space side the piston has a piston journal, which carries a resiliently deformable piston disc. The piston disc is displaceable and covers the throttle channel at least partially. The displacement space side has at least one relief portion deviating from a piston end face plane. The relief portion is delimited on a number of sides by a plurality of boundary lines running concentrically with respect to the central axis. Each of these boundary lines can be differentiated continuously.

    摘要: A shock absorber is provided that includes a shock body and a shaft assembly. The shock body has an inner chamber. The inner chamber is defined by a cylindrical interior surface. At least one groove is formed in the interior surface within at least one select length of the shock body. A piston of the shaft assembly is received within the inner chamber of the shock body. The piston includes valving to allow dampening matter that is received within the inner chamber to pass through the piston to allow the piston to move within the inner chamber. The at least one groove that is formed within the interior surface is configured to allow at least some of the dampening matter to bypass the valving of the piston to allow the piston to move through the at least one select length with less resistance.
