摘要: A damper including a tube, a piston, and a base line valve. The base line valve arranged in fluid communication with at least one of a first and second working chamber of the tube. The base line valve includes a housing, a plug slidably disposed in the housing along a valve axis between open and closed positions, and a spring. The plug includes a plug nose extending through an opening of the housing. The plug nose includes a first annular surface and a second annular surface. The first annular surface being sealingly engaged with a seat of the housing when the plug is in the closed position. The second annular surface being positioned radially inward of the seat by a first dimension when the plug is in the closed position and by a second dimension greater than the first dimension when the plug is in the open position.

摘要: A head unit system for controlling motion of an object includes an environment sensor and a head unit that include shear thickening fluid (STF) and a chamber to contain the STF. The chamber further includes front and back channels. The head unit further includes a piston housed radially within the piston compartment and separating the back channel and the front channel. The piston includes a first piston bypass and a second piston bypass to control flow of the STF between opposite sides of the piston. The chamber further includes a set of fluid flow sensors and a set of fluid manipulation emitters to control the flow of the STF to cause selection of one of a variety of shear rates for the STF within the chamber to abate an internal factor of concern associated with an internal environment as sensed by the environment sensor.

摘要: Described herein is a fluid circuit device. The device incorporates at least one pressure balancing valve located between at least two fluid volumes that can be in a pressure differential arrangement wherein the at least one pressure balancing valve acts to address a pressure differential by opening a fluid volume or volumes to a third pressure equalising volume. In use, the fluid circuit device may in one embodiment be used in an energy absorbtion apparatus.

摘要: A modular electronic damping control system is described and includes a damping component located at a vehicle suspension location. The modular electronic damping control system also includes a control system configured to control the damping component, and determine the type of damping component present. Also, the control system is configured to automatically tune a vehicle's suspension based on the type of damping component present, and automatically monitor the damping component and determine when a change has been made to the damping component so that the control system can then automatically re-tune the vehicle's suspension based on the change to the damping component.
