Abstract:
A universal, quick connect, reciprocating saw attachment for electric drills is disclosed, designed as an adapter that converts a power rotary drill into a reciprocating saw. The present invention converts the rotary action of a drill into the necessary reciprocating action to power a saw blade. The present invention adapts to the housing of various cordless drills and provides for a connection of a steel shank to the drill chuck. A gear box with a reciprocating mechanism inside the housing then provides a coupling to a saw blade to provided the necessary cutting action of a conventional reciprocating saw. Additionally, there are buttons that are designed to expand in and out to tighten the chuck which holds the adapter. The housing is made of a heavy duty impact resistant plastic with the associated gears and reciprocating mechanism made from hardened steel. Coupled with a cordless drill, and a saw blade, the present invention provides for the functions of two, usually separate, power tools in the convenience of one.
Abstract:
Pick-up and placement apparatus including an arm that executes pick-up and placement motions and an arm drive mechanism. The drive mechanism comprising a driven rotating member having an appointed range of rotation, a swiveling member slidably attached to the rotating member and swiveling in an appointed range of rotation by normal and reverse rotations of the rotating member, a connection portion directly or indirectly linked with the arm, a retaining member applying a retaining force to retain the swiveling member at an appointed position in a radial direction with respect to the rotating member while slidably retaining the swiveling member, and an apparatus regulating and guiding said connection portion to linearly move the connection portion by directly or indirectly regulating the swiveling member in the vicinity of both ends of in the range of rotation.
Abstract:
A mechanism for moving two alignment devices having vertical parallel faces for identical flat workpieces such as cardboard blanks, simultaneously in opposite directions. The mechanism includes two reciprocating slides that simultaneously drive the alignment devices in opposite directions. The slides are operated by an articulated mechanism including a pair of extension arms and a drive cradle attached to an oscillating shaft. Actuate projections on the drive cradle engage rotationally with complementary arcuate surfaces on coupling mechanisms, preferably formed of a plastic material such as PETP, attached to the extension arms as the shaft oscillates. Compression springs bias the extension arms and the associated coupling mechanisms against the projections to eliminate the effect of wear in the mechanism.
Abstract:
The invention minimizes the problem of deterioration in engine strength by concentration of stress due to the combustion load in a hole portion provided on a crank journal support wall in a crank case and reduces pumping loss. Further, the invention discharges blow-by gas smoothly, while reducing the engine weight. There is provided a crank journal support portion structure disposed in a crank case of a horizontal opposed type engine, wherein a hole portion communicating with an adjacent cylinder is opened at rotation angular positions of a crank journal yielding small stress generated at a crank journal support wall portion by transmitting combustion load to the crank journal via a piston connecting rod, in the vicinity of the crank journal support hole of the crank journal support wall portion disposed between respective cylinders.
Abstract:
A free-link, one end thereof being pivoted on the piston pin while the other end thereof being pivoted on the cross-link, is restrained by swinging movement of the cross-link about the pivoting point on the crankcase, so that in an intermediate position of the reciprocating movement of the piston, the inclination of the free-link to the reciprocating direction of the piston (the piston axial line direction) is set to be small while the straight line connecting the top and bottom dead centers of the crank pin together meets approximately at a right angle with the straight line connecting the pivoting point of the cross-link on the crankcase to the pivoting point thereof on the connection rod. Thereby, wear and tear on the sliding surfaces due to the frictional loads on the sliding surface between the piston/cylinder and on the crank pin are reduced and loss of transmission power is also reduced.
Abstract:
A pressure medium operated actuator with a position regulator for regulated action on the opening and closing actuation of, for example, a process valve, and with a transmission device for transmitting the movement of a driving member to the position regulator. In order, in a position regulator of this type, to utilize a material pairing which is advantageous per se and, at the same time, to achieve movement transmission which is free of play even in the long term, the position regulator is provided with a resetting lever having a polygonal rotary slide which is prestressed in the manner of a torsion spring and which, by tilting slightly under a torsion spring effect, engages between two parallel round-rod portions of a driver connected to the push-rod.
