摘要: An apparatus and method for sealing an underground junction between a lateral service line and a main pipeline from the inside-out. One embodiment provides a substantially rigid patching apparatus which may be positioned and installed with a robotic device within a main pipeline. The patching apparatus has a flange shaped to fit the internal diameter of the main pipeline and a tubular stem or sleeve which penetrates into the lateral service line. The patching apparatus contains an interconnection substrate such as felt, sponge or other similar material. The interconnection substrate may be impregnated with a bonding agent which sealingly interconnects the patching apparatus to the main pipeline and lateral service line, and may be heated by utilizing a heating element within a support cage, thus reducing the time required for curing.

摘要: Device for use in rehabilitation of water supply pipes includes a tubular liner (10) which is deployed through a pipe (11) for example by a line attached to a messenger pig which is propelled through the pipe. The liner (10) has a multi-lobed pleated cross-section, and is of a polyolefin elastomer material, e,g, a substantially linear ethylene inter-polymer. The liner is extruded and die drawn during extrusion to produce a reduced diameter highly oriented structure.

摘要: Fusion of facing portions of the turnback portion of an installed everted resin impregnated cured in place liner installed in an existing conduit is avoided by adhering a high temperature turnback release film to a portion of the trailing end of the everting liner. After cure and removal of the downstream end of the liner, the high temperature release film is peeled away from the cured liner. This avoids the need to remove the fused portion of the turnback by cutting or excavation of a section of the liner. Fusion generally occurs due to the exotherm from the crosslinking of the thermosetting resin impregnated into the flexible lining.

摘要: This invention provides stretch-resistant liners for lining pipes, pipes lined with stretch-resistant liners, and methods for lining pipes with stretch-resistant liners. The liners are made from a layer of stretch-resistant woven material, which may be a scrim, sandwiched between two layers of non-woven resin-impregnated material to form a laminate structure which is rolled into a tube to provide a liner having concentric sleeves.

摘要: An improved apparatus for repairing a pipeline by the insertion of a resin-impregnated tubular liner is disclosed wherein the improvement resides in an end cap that is adhesively attached to one end of the liner, the end cap having a pull tab formed thereon and a rope attached thereto. Once the liner has been inverted into the pipeline being repaired and the resin-impregnated tubular liner has been disposed into intimate contact with the interior surface of the pipeline and allowed to cure, the end cap is easily stripped from the liner by pulling on the rope.

摘要: A method for repairing pipelines includes impregnating a liner material capable of absorbing a fluid with a fluid uncured and unhardened resin requiring a catalyst for activation to cure and harden. The impregnated liner material is inserted within the pipeline and a catalyst is applied within the pipeline. Resin is then allowed to cure and harden to form a repaired surface for the interior of the pipeline.

摘要: Flexible liners for relining fluid transport pipelines contain at least one integral conduit which has no fluid communication with either the interior of the lining of the relined pipeline, or with the inside wall of the pipeline itself. The integral but substantially fluid-isolated conduit may serve to carry telecommunications or other cables, thus providing an economical means of introducing telecommunications through existing pipeline infrastructure without necessitating abandonment of the fluid transport capabilities of the pipeline.

摘要: A liner hose for use in the reconstruction of damaged buried conduits or pipelines, in particular sewers, comprises inner and outer layers of liquid-tight plastic film material and a number of substantially uniform intermediate layers composed at least partially of a fibrous material impregnated with a curable resin. Each intermediate layer is formed from a strip, which is substantially unstretchable in any direction and has a width such as to enable folding of the strip into a closed hose structure with unbonded seamless overlapping. The overlap sections of all intermediate layers are located with mutual separation in the same side of the liner in its folded condition. The liner hose is manufacture by arranging a number of said strips into a sandwich configuration with the inner calibration hose with the strips overlapping each other with a mutual substantially uniform displacement, so that the total separation of longitudinal edges of lower and upper strips is less than half the width of each strip, and folding the sandwich configuration in one operation around the inner hose.
