    摘要: A web winding apparatus comprises a cutter, a web pressing member and a roller which are movable together between two bobbins supported respectively by two rotational center members. The cutter cuts a web being transferred, the web pressing member presses an end portion of the web cut with the cutter on the bobbin being empty, and the roller transfers the web being transferred to come, toward the bobbins. The apparatus further comprises two peripheral covers independently turnable around the rotational center members and respectively covering parts of outer peripheral surfaces of the webs wound on the two bobbins. Each of the peripheral covers respectively having circumferential openings is turnable selectively to a first position to direct the circumferential opening toward the roller and a second position to partition the bobbin side covered thereby and the roller side.

    摘要: Disclosed are adjustably radially turnable shaft-guards for rotatable shafts and shaft-assemblies which extend from a stationary first-housing to a stationary second-housing. The shaft-guard, which surrounds the shaft or shaft-assembly, has telescopically associated tubes maintained in non-turning condition by yokes attached to said housing whenever the shaft or shaft-assembly is being powered thereby precluding injury to personnel. The telescopically associated tubes are slotted and by virtue of removably secured turning control means the shaft-guard slots can be rotated to align with the lubricatable zerks of the de-powered and stopped shaft or shaft-assembly.

    摘要: A protective device is provided for the threaded shaft of a machine in which the shaft extends between relatively fixed and movable machine parts in respectively rotary and driving connections. The device comprises a belt which is fixed at one end to the shaft near the fixed machine part, wound round the shaft at the same pitch as the shaft thread, and passed to a rotary member mounted on the movable member. If the shaft is only exposed up to the machine movable part, the rotary member is spring-loaded or driven to serve as a take-up/supply spool. If the shaft continues beyond the movable part, the belt is wound around the remainder of the shaft and connected at its other end to the shaft.

    摘要: A U-shaped clip for use in a driveline shield system having a cap disposed to releasably engage a bearing mounted adjacent a drive shaft. The cap supports a tubular guard or shield in a coaxial position relative to the drive shaft. One or more lugs on the bearing are disposed to seat in corresponding slots formed in the cap. When the lugs are seated in the slots, rotation of the cap relative to the bearing causes the bearing and the cap to engage one another. The U-shaped clip is pivotally mounted to the cap and rotatable between a first position in which the clip extends into the slot and secures the lugs in engagement with the cap and a second release position in which the clip is retracted from the slot, thereby permitting relative rotation between the cap and bearing.

    摘要: A die cast aluminum front cover plate for application in a vane-type camshaft phaser includes a plurality of bores and a plurality of steel threaded inserts press fitted into the bores. Steel threaded inserts add the required strength to the stator bolt threads to enable a shorter thread engagement, which in turn enables a thinner aluminum front cover plate that may be packaged in tight applications where prior art aluminum front covers cannot be used due to their larger thickness. The steel threaded inserts not only provide a higher stiffness but also have a flanged shape that effectively spreads the clamp load generated during the tightening of the stator bolts further out preventing local clamp load points and, consequently, reducing cover deflection over the span of the front cover plate.

    摘要: A driven part can be pivotably mounted to the door frame so that, in a starting position, it engages a driving part fixed to the leaf frame in order to fix the position of the door leaf with respect to the door frame. An electromagnetic brake generates a moment to retain the driven part in the starting position when electrical current is supplied, and allows the driven part to pivot from the starting position when electrical current is not supplied. The driven part is held in the starting position when the driven part returns to the starting position and no moment is generated by the electromagnetic brake.

    摘要: A safety sleeve for exposed rotating shafts, in particular, for cylindrical shafts with smooth outer surfaces. The safety sleeve includes an enclosure member that substantially encloses the exposed shaft. The enclosure member is mounted to the shaft in releasable driving engagement with a mounting member which is firmly secured to the shaft. The enclosure member is normally rotatably driven by the mounting member, but when there is external contact with the enclosure member the enclosure member is released from driving engagement with the mounting member so that the enclosure member remains stationary while the mounting member rotates with the shaft in sliding contact with the enclosure member. In the preferred embodiment the enclosure member is tubular and the mounting member is a pair of annular collars.

    摘要: A fail-safe, double-action safety guard having two separate and distinct protective circuits, shown installed on a treadle operated punch press, the primary circuit being both pneumatically and electrically operated, while the secondary or followup circuit is hydraulically operated. Actuation of the foot treadle will open the pneumatic circuit to a preset flow control circuit and also to an air solenoid valve. From the flow control circuit, air pressure passes through and operates a pneumatic drive cylinder which in turn drives a guard-actuating device or butterfly flipper having a guard shield attached thereto. The butterfly flipper is rotated a preset amount to drive the guard shield in front of the work area. Only when the guard shield is completely in front of the work area, an electrical off/on switch is operated which in turn actuates an air solenoid and releases line air pressure to the clutch trip cylinder which trips the press. To operate the followup hydraulic circuit, a preset cam throw is mounted on the crankshaft of the press. When the press is tripped and the ram starts its downward stroke, the cam positively drives a hydraulic cylinder. This cylinder is connected via hydraulic lines to a second hydraulic cylinder which is mounted next to the guard-actuating device or butterfly flipper diagonally opposite the pneumatic drive cylinder, the length of the stroke of the second hydraulic cylinder and the pneumatic drive cylinder being equal. Before the ram has completed a minor fraction of its downward stroke, the second hydraulic cylinder is completely activated against the butterfly flipper. In normal operation, the hydraulic cylinder merely follows the pneumatic cylinder and butterfly flipper action. It is a positive drive but only drives the guard shield in any emergency operation such as a double tripping of the press, or a clutch, air pressure, spring, electrical or air solenoid valve failure. The positive hydraulic drive exerts a large force that may be as great as the punch press, however, and in both normal and unexpected operations, this force cannot easily be overcome by the operator. When the stroke of the second hydraulic cylinder is fully extended to the butterfly flipper, it holds the guard shield in front of the work area until the ram has completed its downward stroke and has started its upward stroke. Meanwhile, the pneumatic drive cylinder retracts and is ready for the next cycle. Desirably the guard shield is opened by means of a return spring and the work area is cleared and made ready for the next cycle of the press.
