    摘要: The invention comprises a darkroom safelight having (a) a light filter consisting of negative color film which has been exposed to a white light source (such as a generally continuous, uninterrupted light-reflective surface illuminated by white light) and then developed with color developer, and (b) at least two color filters selected from the colors of magenta, cyan and yellow. The minimum densities of these color filters are determined by the work-fogging factor; the maximum densities are determined by the factor of visual illumination of the work area.

    摘要: An attachment system for configured slots which utilizes pivotally opposed major and minor jaws which can be biased in a closed or in an open position. The major and minor jaws are aligned in the receptor cavity of a configured rectangular tube and are actuated to fully and to frictionally engage the receptor cavity. Such actuation also causes outwardly-facing grooves on the ends of the major and minor jaws to engage a suitably-shaped configured slot on a configured tube or other structure. Such preceding action connects a configured rectangular tube and a structure having a suitably-shaped configured slot by the use of the intermediate major and minor jaws. Provisions are also made for snapping engagement of the pivotally opposed major and minor jaws of biased open major and minor jaws with a suitably-shaped configured slot.

    摘要: A compact, high-intensity light assembly including a substantially hollow shell having a distal end from which the light emerges and a proximal end into which a base unit inserts. A lamp guide holds the light source in a central position within the shell using a spring which urges a rear portion of the lamp guide against an annular seating lip on the base unit. The lamp guide preferably includes a necked-down portion having an inner surface which makes holding contact with the outer surface of the light source, and an outer surface including heat-radiating features. In a preferred embodiment, the base unit is insertable into the proximal end of the shell by way of a threaded connection, enabling the lamp guide and light source to be adjustably moved relative to the distal end of the shell so as to focus the light from the source into a preferred illumination area. The preferred embodiment also includes a shield bracket attached to the proximal end of the shell and a fastening clip attached to the shield bracket facilitating at least two adjustable degrees of freedom.

    摘要: A distress light including a housing provided with a top wall from which electrically actuatable illumination means project. A plurality of generally cup-shaped lenses of different colors are provided and may be nested within each other and inverted over the illumination means. Further, the housing includes a removable retaining ring operative to releasably retain either one or all of the inverted cup-shaped lenses over the illumination means. The distress light, while readily useable in many other environments for rendering a visual distress signal, has been specifically designed to provide an assemblage which may be compactly stored in a motor vehicle and utilized by a disabled motorist for signalling caution or requesting various types of aid. The distress light includes a pair of illumination assemblies, one being adapted to receive its power from a motor vehicle storage battery and the other being operable from a selfcontained small battery source of electrical potential contained within the housing of the distress light. In this manner, an extremely dependable distress light is provided and it is to be further noted that the distress light is to be marketed with a plurality of different colored lenses for enclosing the illumination means of the distress light. The different color lenses may include a red lens for signalling the need for medical aid, a green lens for signalling a need for police aid, a blue lens for signalling a need for mechanical aid and an amber or yellow lens for signalling ''''caution'''' where no assistance is required. In addition to the above, the illumination means operative from both the associated vehicle battery and the self-contained source of electrical potential include electrically actuated automatic cycling switch means serially connected between the sources of electrical potential and the illumination means whereby the latter will be alternately actuated.

In one embodiment the clamp assembly includes a two-piece clamp body composed of a pair of opposing substantially mirror-image jaws each having an inner surface with an arcuate channel and a tooth juxtaposing the arcuate channel. The arcuate channels cooperate to accept and frictionally engage a mounting rod to be affixed to the host structure, and the teeth are for entering into a slot defined by surfaces of the host structure. A tightening member is provided for forcing the jaws together. In an alternate embodiment the clamp assembly includes a one-piece clamp body and a mounting rod. The one-piece clamp body includes engagement tabs for entering into a slot defined by surfaces of the host structure and a threaded hole for receiving a threaded end of the mounting rod, which serves as a tightening member.

    摘要: The present invention is a bracket for coupling an illuminating device having an independent power supply to a night vision device having a separate power supply, wherein the illuminating device coupled to the housing of the night vision device will draw no additional power from the night vision device. The bracket comprises a generally cylindrical barrel for receiving the illuminating device, which may be a flashlight. A support extends substantially perpendicularly from the cylindrical barrel near one end. An eye ring is included on the support for attaching the bracket to a housing. The support further includes a second support region extending from the cylindrical barrel to just above the eye ring, wherein the support region overhangs a portion of the housing of the night vision device to provide additional support. The bracket is rotably positionable on the housing in an arcuate path between first and second points, allowing the flashlight to be moved from side to side to accommodate both left-handed and right-handed users. A second preferred embodiment of the bracket includes a longitudinal slit through the cylindrical barrel, wherein the barrel is expandable to accommodate flashlights of different sizes.
