    摘要: Disclosed herein are embodiments of an oxygen torch cutting system. In one embodiment, the oxygen torch cutting system comprises a cutting torch supplied with an oxygen gas source, a fuel gas source, and a third gas source. The third gas source can be a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gasses (HHO) or hydrogen gas (H2) and can be added to the fuel gas source. The oxygen torch cutting system can include one or more gas lines, gas control valves, and flashback arrestors. The addition of HHO or H2 gas to the fuel gas source can be facilitated by a tee connector. The inclusion of HHO or H2 gas into the fuel gas source increases the efficiency of the oxygen cutting torch system by replacing a significant amount of the fuel with less expensive HHO or H2 gas and increases the oxidation rate of metal and creates a cleaner flame.

The cutting torch includes a cutting oxygen channel for supplying cutting oxygen, a heating oxygen channel for supplying heating oxygen, a fuel gas channel for supplying fuel gas, an ignition mixer configured to selectively generate ignition gas from the heating oxygen and the fuel gas, and at least one sensor adapted for measuring a pressure and/or flow rate in one of the channels. The control system is adapted to maintain a temperature of the cutting torch to allow operation of the at least one sensor by adjusting a flow rate and/or a pressure of the gasses supplied to the cutting torch and/or by switching the cutting torch between an ignition mode and a cleaning and cooling mode.

    摘要: A fuel gas and oxygen mixer for a gas torch comprises a tubular body having a mixing passage extending therethrough and having an upstream end connected to sources of a fuel gas and oxygen and a downstream end for delivering a mixture of the fuel gas and oxygen to a torch tip. The fuel gas is axially supplied to the upstream end of the mixer, and the oxygen flows along the outer surface of the body in the upstream direction from a point adjacent the downstream end of the body and then into the mixing passage through radial ports adjacent to the upstream end of the body. The counter flow of oxygen is through a passageway which provides for cooling of the mixer during normal operation of the torch and for the quenching of reversely flowing hot gases during a back fire.

Fuel and oxidizer components are delivered into the mixer, mix with each other into a propellant and interact with the central body which includes a spark plug (60) in one of embodiments. The central body acts to control thermodynamic parameters of the propellant mixture to be set to fire from a spark discharge and burnt under high pressure, forming a supersonic high temperature gaseous jet acting upon the material. Also disclosed is a method in which the apparatus is to be implemented and comprising steps of providing a fuel and an oxidizer, mixing the fuel with the oxidizer, burning the propellant mixture under high pressure and forming a supersonic high temperature nonoverwidened gaseous jet out of products of combustion to act upon the material.

    摘要: Disclosed is a cutting torch having a preheat tube in which the mixing structure within the preheat tube includes both a heat absorbing spiral and a blunt-nosed jet in the oxygen passageway upstream of the injection point at which the fuel is mixed with oxygen. The jet is simple to machine during the manufacturing of the torch parts and, when properly positioned, causes sufficient turbulence in oxygen flow to assure complete and consistent mixing of the oxygen with the fuel, even at low fuel pressures. The actual mixing of the fuel with the oxygen is accomplished at a point immediately downstream of the jet where a plurality of transverse passageways leading from a fuel carrying channel intersect the central passageway leading from the jet. These transverse passageways are preferably disposed at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the mixer tube such that the transverse passageways are pointed downstream and inwardly toward the center of the mixer tube.
