摘要: An ice making appliance includes an ice mold and a refrigeration system. The refrigeration system includes a pump that is in fluid connection with a water supply and a compressor that is in fluid communication with a bypass valve. The compressor is one of a low back-pressure compressor and a medium back-pressure compressor. A condenser and an evaporator are in fluid communication with the bypass valve. The evaporator is positioned proximate the ice mold. The pump is operable to flow liquid from the water supply over the evaporator. The compressor is configured to turn off during an ice harvesting period, after the ice harvesting period, or both.

If controller determines that ice maker needs maintenance, controller can push a notification to a portable electronic device connected to the ice maker.

摘要: An ice maker for forming ice having a refrigeration system, a water system, and a control system. The refrigeration system includes a compressor, a condenser, an ice formation device, and a condenser fan comprising a fan blade and a condenser fan motor for driving the fan blade. The water system supplies water to the ice formation device. The control system includes a controller adapted to operate the condenser fan motor at a first speed in a forward direction when the ice maker is making ice and adapted to operate the condenser fan motor at a second speed in a reverse direction when the ice maker is not making ice. Operating the condenser fan motor at the second speed in the reverse direction is sufficient to reduce the amount of dirt, lint, grease, dust, and/or other contaminants on or in the condenser.

摘要: An ice making device includes: an ice making part in which an evaporator is incorporated; a refrigerating circuit for ice making including a compressor, a condenser, an electronic expansion valve, and the evaporator, the refrigerating circuit being configured to circulate a refrigerant through the compressor, the condenser, the electronic expansion valve, and the evaporator in this order to produce ice in the ice making part; and a controller configured to increase a circulation amount of the refrigerant in the refrigerating circuit and then reduce the circulation amount in accordance with reduction in a cooling load in the ice making part when receiving an ice making command, and adjust the circulation amount such that a degree of superheat is equal to or lower than 2° C.

摘要: A refrigerant system includes a compressor connected to a first valve forming a harvest line, a condenser connected to the compressor by a first segment of conduit and an expansion device by a second segment of conduit with the condenser and the second segment of conduit forming a liquid line. A third segment of conduit is connected to the liquid line and the harvest line with the third segment of conduit having a second valve. The second valve allows flow of refrigerant from the liquid line to the harvest line through the third segment of conduit in an open position and the second valve blocking flow of the refrigerant from the liquid line to the harvest line through the third segment of conduit in a closed position.
