    摘要: A fire control system for a semiautomatic, double action only pistol includes a sear carried by a biased sear arm. As in other pistols, the sear engages a striker to load it against a striker spring until it is released to fire a chambered round. In the present invention, the sear arm is biased so that it urges the sear forward and upward, against the rearward movement of the sear as a result of the pulling of a trigger operating through a trigger arm, and restores the sear after release of the striker. The sear arm is biased by a spring system comprising two torsion springs. One torsion spring operates against the sear block to urge the sear arm in an upward direction; the other torsion spring, pivotally supporting the sear, operates on it to urge it forward. The sear and the striker lie in the same plane. Therefore, the sear has a second cam surface that engages the striker leg when the trigger is released, urging the sear downward as the striker passes over it to set up the sear for loading the striker the next time the trigger is pulled.

    摘要: A fire control mechanism for a firing pin striker operated semiautomatic double action handgun includes a sear pivotably disposed on a frame between forward and rearward positions. The sear includes an edge portion for controlling the firing pin and further includes a cam surface for downward displacement of the sear to release the firing pin in response to trigger firing movement. The firing pin includes an extension adapted to be in planar movement with the controlling edge of the sear with selective engagement and disengagement therewith in response to angular and translatory movement of the sear upon response to actuation of the trigger. A trigger bar includes a disconnect portion disposed to move the trigger bar downwardly upon recoil of the slide. The sear, firing pin extension, cam surface and trigger are all movable in coplanar relationship with one another and the trigger bar and disconnect are movable in a plane parallel thereto.

    摘要: A fire control system for a semiautomatic, double-action only pistol includes a sear carried at the free end of a cantilevered spring. As in other pistols, the sear engages a striker to load it against a striker spring until it is released to fire a chambered round. In the present invention, the cantilevered spring urges the sear forward and upward, against the rearward movement of the sear as a result of the pulling of a trigger operating through a trigger arm, and restores the sear after release of the striker. The cantilevered spring is preferably a spring with a torsion spring on each end. One torsion spring operates against the frame to cantilever the spring body; the other torsion spring, supporting the sear, operates on it to urge it forward. The sear and the striker lay in the same plane. Therefore, the sear has a second cam surface that engages the striker leg when the trigger is released, urging the sear downward as the striker passes over it to set up the sear for loading the striker the next time the trigger is pulled.

    摘要: A handgun comprises a frame, a trigger mounted on the frame for movement between a rest position and a depressed position, a firing pin movable along a firing path between a cocked condition remote from a cartridge chamber and a fire condition proximate the cartridge chamber for firing a cartridge, and a biasing member for biasing the firing pin toward the fire condition. A transmission member is disposed between the trigger and the firing pin, via the firing path, and is responsive to depression of the trigger to displace the firing pin against the bias of the biasing member toward the cocked condition. A deflecting element deflects the transmission member out of the firing path of the firing pin to release the firing pin from the cocked condition and allow the firing pin to be propelled by the biasing member to the fire condition to fire the cartridge.

    摘要: A modular linear striker has a firing pin assembly, an axial spring and a housing. The firing pin assembly includes a firing pin and a reset spring and may also include a separate slider. The firing pin has a resting position, a cocked position and a firing position. The reset spring biases the firing pin back in its resting position. When the slider is incorporated into the firing pin assembly, the axial spring biases the slider forward with a preloaded force. The housing surrounds the firing pin assembly and the axial spring. The housing has a notched section between its front face and its body section which fits within a setting in the firearm frame. The notched section engages the fitting in the firearm frame so that the modular linear striker is arranged in the proper position and orientation within the frame.
