    摘要: A dual-mode turret system includes a turret base operable by a motor drive of the turret system, a cylindrical sleeve secured to the turret base, a mounting cylinder disposed in the cylindrical sleeve, and a frame secured to the mounting cylinder, wherein the frame is adapted to hold a weapon. The dual-mode turret system also includes a locking apparatus that when engaged prevents the mounting cylinder from rotating independently of the cylindrical sleeve, a controller, and an input device coupled to the controller. Rotation of the frame is manually adjustable when the locking apparatus is disengaged, and the rotation of the frame is adjusted by the controller in response to commands received from the input device when the locking apparatus is engaged.

    摘要: A weapon station includes a low profile adapter and rotating platform. The low profile adapter is mountable on numerous vehicles or structures, including armored combat vehicles, and mounted concentrically with an operator ingress and egress. The low profile adapter may be mountable on optical sights, such as periscopes. The rotating platform is mounted on the low profile adapter and concentric with the operator ingress and egress and is rotatable about an azimuth axis. The weapon station includes a weapon that can be fired in stabilized, power, and manual modes. The weapon can be fired from within the vehicle in stabilized and power modes, and an operator can fire the weapon manually without leaving the protection of the operator ingress and egress. The weapon station does not obstruct a line-of-sight through optical sights and affords an operator enhanced protection during combat engagements due to its ingress/egress-centric configuration.

    摘要: The present invention relates to firearms, especially to guns, and more particularly to a system for attenuating recoil, reducing muzzle climb and increasing accuracy. The invention provides a recoil attenuating mechanism that is an improvement on the well-known and widely used Browning tilting barrel system which is used mostly in semi-automatic pistols. The recoil attenuation is achieved by redirecting and manipulating the forces of the recoil of the slide of the pistol to a different axis than what is the norm on a regular Browning action, thus reducing muzzle climb substantially in addition to attenuating recoil, and therefore improving accuracy, recovery time, and controllability.

The one or more wire ropes are configured to couple movement of the one or more gas springs to a tensile force on a front portion of the weapon mount or a weapon (116) so as to counter-balance a weight of the weapon in the weapon mount.
