摘要： A compressed gas powered marking gun for firing marking pellets and similar projectiles each of which is generally spherical and sufficiently fragile so as to break upon impact with a target is disclosed including a compressed gas source, a projectile supply magazine containing a plurality of projectiles, and means for sequentially aligning projectiles from the supply magazine with the gun barrel through which projectiles may be sequentially discharged. The firing mechanism includes a user actuable trigger for selectively supplying compressed gas from the source to expel a projectile through the barrel, and a selector mechanism movable between a first position where the trigger actuated supplying of gas is disabled, a second position where one actuation of the trigger supplies gas to expel a single projectile, and a third position where compressed gas is repeatedly periodically supplied. The gun includes an improved mechanism for releasing gas to propel a projectile along a gun barrel and from the gun comprising a shuttle valve movable between predetermined limits along a line generally collinear with the gun barrel, a spring biased striker for selectively impacting one shuttle valve end, a user actuable trigger mechanism for releasing the striker to move under the spring bias and impact the shuttle valve one end, a first valve near the shuttle valve one end opened by striker impact to release gas and a second valve near the shuttle valve end opposite said one end.

摘要： An improved clip (15) and method for supplying hygienic projectiles (22) to a ballistic implant gun (10). The clip (15) includes a plurality of cylindrical chambers (20) which each contain a projectile or bioligical bullet (22). The clip (15) also includes indexing recesses (27) which automatically advance the clip (15) transversely of the gun's housing to supply a projectile (22) to the gun (10) after the preceeding projectile has been discharged. The clip (15) further includes a stop mechanism (14) which notifies the user when all of the bullets (22) have been discharged. This stop mechanism comprises a transverse rib (14) located at one end of the clip (15). After the final bullet has been discharged, the rib (14) can be advanced to align with the gun's firing chamber. When the bolt of the gun hits and is stopped by the rib (14), the gun (10) is prevented from further operation until the user replaces the empty clip ( 15) with one containing additional projectiles (22).

摘要： A cartridge magazine for storing cartridges is provided that can be used with a plurality of styles of firearms, and particularly for use with the Colt M16/AR-15 and the Ruger Mini-14/AC 556 styles of firearms. The cartridge magazine includes a number of different latch-related elements for use in engaging different cartridge magazine latching mechanisms found on each of the styles of firearm. The width and thickness dimensions of the magazine are such that insertion into each of the firearms can be accomplished without binding. A magazine follower is also provided with different bolt hold open engaging elements on the same follower in order to accommodate the different styles of firearms. A stop member is included on the magazine to prevent excessive insertion of the magazine relative to one of the firearms. A positioning member located on the magazine assists alignment of the cartridges during loading thereof into the firearm so that jamming of the cartridges is eliminated. The magazine also has a spring attached to the follower in which portions of the spring define predetermined angular relationships to further facilitate receipt of a cartridge by the selected firearm.

摘要： A belt-fed automatic weapon includes a retainer for holding one or more ofhe leading rounds on the belt exposed external to the magazine in a position where they can be picked up and automatically fed into the automatic weapon by a feed sprocket in the automatic weapon during insertion of the magazine into the weapon. This permits one-hand loading by an erect walking operator whose second hand is occupied supporting the weapon. A belt guide at the exit of the magazine prevents jamming of linked rounds when the weapon is fired upside down or on its sides.

摘要： A small bore liquid propellant weapon fires projectiles transported to the firing chamber in a projectile carrier. The projectile carrier is separated from the projectile just prior to firing the projectile. The projectile carrier can be reconnected with the projectile to extract the projectile from the weapon in the event of a misfire. The small bore liquid propellant weapon has a reciprocating combustion chamber housing. The reciprocating combustion chamber housing forms a large diameter combustion chamber without ullage and eliminates a lock. The small bore liquid propellant weapon includes an integral magazine which has its own pump for the liquid propellant. The magazine also has a valve element with high pressure seals that operate only for the life of the magazine and that are discarded with the empty magazine.
