Abstract:
The butt of the rifle is formed on its right-hand side with a well, in which a drum-shaped spare magazine is removably accommodated, which closes the well and conforms to the outside surface of the butt on the right-hand side thereof. Detent means are carried by said magazine and said butt and releasably hold said magazine in position in said well. Said detent means comprise at least one spring-loaded detent element which is carried by said magazine and interlocks with said butt.
Abstract:
Only liquid fuel is supplied to the engine under a no-load condition. Only liquid fuel at an increasing rate is supplied to said engine as the load thereon increases from said no-load condition through a lower partial load range. Liquid and gaseous fuels are supplied to said engine in a higher partial load range and under full load. The proportion of said gaseous fuel relative to said liquid fuel is increased during an increase of the load on said engine above said lower partial load range to about three-fourths of the full load on the engine.
Abstract:
A barrel is fixed in a barrel-carrying member and provided on its outside peripheral surface with a piston and formed with transverse bore means, which communicate with the inside of the barrel and open on the outside peripheral surface thereof forwardly of said piston. An action slide comprises a cylinder, which is spaced around said barrel and defines therewith an annular chamber, which is sealed by said piston and is defined by flow-obstructing means spaced from said piston beyond said transverse bore means. The action slide is capable of a recoil movement relative to said barrel so as to decrease the size of said annular chamber. A counter-recoil spring cooperates with said action slide and tends to move said action slide opposite to the direction of said recoil movement.
Abstract:
A STOCK OF A RIFLE HAS OPPOSITE SIDE WALLS DEFINING A A MAGAZINE CHAMBER, WHICH IS OPEN AT ONE END. EACH OF SAID SIDE WALLS IS FORMED WITH AN APERTURE AND WITH A RECESS WHICH IS OPEN TO SAID CHAMBER. A DETACHABLE MAGAZINE IS CONTAINED IN SAID CHAMBER AND HAS TWO LONGITUDINAL SIDES, EACH OF WHICH IS PROVIDED WITH A NOSE, WHICH IS SPRING-RUGED IN AN OUTWARD DIRECTION AND ENGAGED WITH ONE OF SAID RECESSES. EACH OF SAID LONGITUDINAL SIDES IS ALSO PROVIDED WITH A GRIP LEDGE, WHICH IS SPRING-URGED OUTWARDLY AND PROTRUDES OUTWARDLY FROM SAID STOCK THROUGH ONE OF SAID APERTURES. SAID NOSES ARE ARRANGED TO DISENGAGE SAID RECESSES WHEN SAID GRIP LEDGES ARE DEPRESSED INTO SAID STOCK.
