    摘要: An attachment assembly includes a conically tapered missile body interface surface of a missile body attachment interface wedged against a conically tapered missile component interface surface of a missile body attachment interface. The missile body attachment interface also includes an engagement rod for locked engagement by a hook of the missile component attachment interface. Specifically, the missile component attachment interface includes an auto-adjusting assembly having a series of pivoting arms connected to a rotatable engagement drive at a first end thereof and a hook at a second end thereof. The auto-adjusting assembly is moveable between a first position and a second position, and between the second position and a third position. The missile component attachment interface includes a pre-loaded over-center mechanism operably coupled to the auto-adjusting assembly and configured to lock the hook in engagement with the engagement rod in the third position.

    摘要: Some embodiments pertain to a projectile that includes a casing and a sensor that is wrapped around the casing. As an example, the sensor may be wrapped around a longitudinal axis of the casing. The sensor obtains environmental data that the projectile is exposed to when the projectile is inside a cannon tube. As an example, the sensor may obtain pressure data that the projectile is exposed to during launch of the projectile when the projectile is inside the cannon tube. The sensor may include a plurality of segments that at least partially surround the casing. In some embodiments, the segments may be separated from the casing due to pressure that the projectile is exposed to during launch.

    摘要: Projectiles with sealed propellant are described herein. In one embodiment of the invention, a projectile includes a chamber having a propellant charger, an exit from the chamber for release of propellant gases into a barrel when the propellant is ignited to fire the projectile, and a seal to block the exit which is opened by ignition of the propellant within the chamber but is resistant to ignition of other propellant in the barrel, where the seal is carried from the barrel by the projectile after the ignition. Other methods and apparatuses are also described.

    摘要: A body which can be axially incorporated at an artillery shell comprises a functional or operational element constructed as a radar reflector. A sleeve element is arranged at such functional element. This sleeve element is rotationally symmetrical about a lengthwise axis and is intended to be attached to the artillery shell. The functional element and the sleeve element are constructed as one piece or integrally. At the inside surface of the sleeve element there are formed in a turnably symmetrical or rotationally symmetrical manner beads, fins or claws or the like. The inner surface of the sleeve element is provided with an adhesive layer formed, for instance, of corundum powder contained in a synthetic resin. At the outside surface of the sleeve element there is arranged a fuse cord, the detonation of which produces a form-locking or positive connection of the sleeve element with the ordnance projectile or shell.
