摘要: A multicoordinate sensing measuring device is proposed in which a sensing lever (5) that is resiliently spring-pretensioned in a resting position in a housing (3) can be displaced along a measuring axis (7) and can be pivoted transversely to the measuring axis (7). A connecting piece (25) is guided in a movable manner in the direction of the measuring axis (7) on a guide surface (23) of the housing (3). The sensing lever carries along the connecting piece (25) via a linkage (31, 33) when the sensing arm (5) is displaced in the direction of the measuring axis (7) as well as when the sensing am is deflected in the direction of the measuring axis (7). A measuing device (21) detects the position of the connecting piece (25) relative to the housing (3). The connecting piece (25) and the guide surfaces (23) form bearing suaces for balls of the ball bearing arrangement (27) where the bearing surface of at least one of these componentsnullconnecting piece (25) and housing (3)nullcan be elastically deflected transversely to the bearing surface and clamps the balls (65) flee of play between the bearing surfaces. The connecting piece (25) or/and the housing (3) are made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy and are coated with a comparatively thin hard-anodized layer into which the balls (65) can wear a track groove. Such a sensing meaasring device can be manufactured with relatively large manufacturing tolerances and is nevertheless able to guide the connecting piece (25) in a movable manner essentially free of play in the housing (3).

摘要: Apparatus and method for measuring cables of varying diameters to be used in a wire bundle. The apparatus involves a support platform having a groove formed therein which is laid out to have at least one U-shaped turnaround portion. The groove is further canted such that it opens at an angle of about 4.85null away from an interior area defined by the U-shaped arc. This allows cables of varying diameters to be placed in the groove during measuring and automatically compensates for the differences in diameter of the cables. Thus, each cable laid into the groove and measured in accordance with the length of the groove will have the same length, regardless of differences in the diameters of the cables.

摘要: A monitoring and protection system includes a plurality of monitoring modules that are positioned proximate to points of interest in a machine system where dynamic operating conditions are to be monitored. The monitoring modules at individual locations communicate with one another via an open industrial data exchange protocol. The groups of modules may also communicate via the same protocol, creating a flexible and expandable system that accommodates a wide range of modules and that avoids the need for conventional backplane architecture. The groups also communicate with remote equipment via a different standard data exchange protocol, such as via a gateway associated with each of the monitoring module groups.

摘要: A method and equipment for measuring the tension of a moving web. The tension of the moving web is measured by means of a measuring element provided with a guide surface which the moving web is guided to pass such that the web forms an air cushion of the air it carries between the web and the guide surface. Measuring devices are arranged at a distance from one another in connection with the measuring element in the cross direction of the web for measuring a variable representing the tension of the moving web. The measuring element is moved back and forth in the cross direction of the web such that the tension profile of the web is measured at least on a part of the web width by means of the measuring devices arranged in connection with the measuring element.

摘要: A free-state diameter (a diameter in a state in which a residual stress has been released by cutting) of each of metal rings in a continuously variable transmission) is determined so that a predetermined compression stress and a predetermined tensile stress are applied to outer and inner surfaces of the metal ring in an endless state in which the metal ring is not cut, respectively. When the metal ring is cut in order to measure the free-state diameter, the metal ring is cut at least at two points so that cut ends do not interfere with each other in the free state, and the free-state diameter is then measured. Thus, the free-state diameter of the metal ring in a continuously variable transmission can be accurately measure.

摘要: A caliper for measuring the thickness of collated printed products and which has a lever arm which is pressed into engagement with each of a plurality of printed products as they are serially conveyed past a measurement station. The lever arm is actuated by a servo motor which includes an encoder, and when the lever arm is pressed into engagement with each product, the position of the lever arm is sensed by the encoder which then delivers a signal to a controller where the thickness is calculated and compared with a predetermined correct value. A method of calibrating the caliper is also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is an alternating human vibration-exciting method for obtaining a free vibration waveform of buildings or civil structures having a natural vibration frequency more than 2.5 Hz. First and second same-number sets of subjects having similar weights alternately apply exciting forces to a wall on a top of the structure. An electronic beat-sound generator is adjusted to a two-beat mode to generate two alternating beat sounds repeatedly so that the first and second sets can apply vibration exciting forces repeatedly at a frequency of half of the natural vibration frequency of the structure obtained by micro-tremor measurement, while alternately synchronizing their actions to the two alternating beat sounds, respectively. The vibration exciting action is stopped after the structure is brought to a sufficient resonance state, thereby obtaining a free vibration waveform having an amplitude several tens of times larger than that of the micro-tremor of the structure having a natural vibration frequency more than 2.5 Hz, at which frequency it is generally difficult to perform a human vibration excitation. The free vibration waveform is used for calculating the damping ratio or natural vibration frequency.
