摘要: A system for providing state information for at least a part of a tool positioning machine embodied as manipulating machine or as coordinate measuring machine is provided. The system comprises the tool positioning machine defining a machine coordinate system and having a base and a machine structure. The structure comprises a tool head and structural components for linking the tool head to the base, at least one drive mechanism for providing movability of the machine structure relative to the base, a position determining system for deriving at least one coordinate of the machine structure in the machine coordinate system and a controlling unit adapted for controlling movement of the machine structure. The system comprises a calibration setup. A calibration component is mounted on the machine structure and defines a moveable reference point, another calibration component is arranged with defined spatial relation to the base and provides a nominal calibration position.

The gauge block includes at least one slit sized to accommodate a sidewall of the electrical box, and one or more holes disposed along a length of the at least one slit. The one or more holes are sized to accommodate ribbing on the sidewall of the electrical box. A through hole extends through a length of the block in a same direction as the length of the at least one slit. At least one set screw secures the gauge block in place along the length of the shaft when the shaft is inserted in the through hole in the gauge block.

摘要: A gage block case includes a plurality of gage blocks mounted within the case, each gage block having opposed gage surfaces with a nominal dimension therebetween and a known deviation from the nominal dimension. Sensors associated with each gage block sense the removal of each gage block from the case. A signal generator provides a distinct signal corresponding to which gage block is removed from the case. A memory stores the known deviation of each gage block within the case. A control unit responsive to the signal generator addresses and retrieves from the memory the known deviation for each gage block which is removed from the case, combines the known deviation with the deviations of previously removed gage blocks and outputs the total deviation to a display device. In a second embodiment, the control unit selects and indicates which gage blocks are to be removed from the case to form a specified stack height input to the control unit.

摘要: A feeler gage arrangement in which blades of varying thicknesses may be easily inserted into and removed from a holder. The blades are stacked on a fixed pin threaded at one end. A sleeve is freely slidable along the length of the pin and is threaded at one end to mate with the thread of the pin. The blades are securely held when the internal thread of the sleeve mates with the thread of the pin. A spring releases rapidly the sleeve from the pin, and thereby the blades, when the sleeve is unthreaded from the pin.

In this regard, a gage block tool for adjusting a brake cable may comprise a body comprising, a first member extending in a first direction, the first member having a first length and a first thickness, and a second member extending in a second direction, the second member having a second length and a second thickness. At least one of the first member or the second member may be sized and configured to be placed between a stop and a lever of a brake valve, the brake cable connected between the lever and a brake handle being properly adjusted when the gage block sandwiched between the lever and the stop contacts both the lever and the stop while the brake handle is in a park lock position.
