The motor through a transmission gear-wheel with high gear-change rate and a transmission gear-wheel with a low gear-change rate transmits the motion of the carriage. One-way clutches are also used to select the transmission system and to control the direction of the carriage. Thus, the scanner has high image quality and short carriage backward time.

摘要： An optical illumination apparatus includes an illumination source, a pair of spaced integrator plates each having a plurality of lenslets, a conduit array, having a respective aperture corresponding to a plurality of the lenslets disposed there between, with non-reflective optically absorptive walls, and a relay optical structure for integrating light emitted from said second array of lenslets on a focal plane. The apparatus is employed by illuminating a first integrator plate having lenslets, subject to spatial intensity variations, segregating light from each respective lenslet with an elongated baffle, having a respective aperture for each of a plurality of respective lenslets, capturing light from each aperture with a second integrator plate having lenslets, and relaying the light to a focal plane, whereby light rays impinging on the walls of the elongated baffle are not transmitted through the aperture, thus substantially attenuating light rays having acute angles, to uniformly illuminate the focal plane.

摘要： A chuck for detachably fixing an object to a rotatable base, the chuck comprising (a) a support detachably mountable to the base, (b) a clamp having opposite ends, the clamp being pivotally mounted to the support between the ends of the clamp, and (c) a resilient member connected to one end of the clamp, the resilient member being resiliently deformed when the support is mounted to the base, which applies a force to the one end of the clamp, thereby causing the other end of the clamp to pivot downward, and apply a pressing force against an object disposed between the base and the other end of the clamp, wherein when the base rotates, centrifugal force acts on the clamp and increases the pressing force against the object.
