In addition, the image forming device includes a first control unit that starts driving of the second driving unit at a same time as a start of driving of the first driving unit, and a second control unit that executes a cleaning sequence process to return toner adhered on the transfer unit back to the image carrier during a period from the start of the driving of the second driving unit until a print permitting signal is output by the laser scanner unit.

摘要： A method for manufacturing sidewall contacts for a chalcogenide memory device is disclosed. A first conductive layer is initially deposited on top of a first oxide layer. The first conductive layer is then patterned and etched using well-known processes. Next, a second oxide layer is deposited on top of the first conductive layer and the first oxide layer. An opening is then etched into at least the first oxide layer such that a portion of the first conductive layer is exposed within the opening. The exposed portion of the first conductive layer is then removed from the opening such that the first conductive layer is flush with an inner surface or sidewall of the opening. After depositing a chalcogenide layer on top of the second oxide layer, filling the opening with chalcogenide, a second conductive layer is deposited on top of the chalcogenide layer.

摘要： An apparatus and process for applying an electrical charge to a photoreceptor wherein a bias charge roll member is situated in contact or in close proximity with a surface of a member to be charged such as a photoreceptor. The bias charge roll member is supplied with an electrical bias having a variable voltage waveform onto which a DC bias is superimposed. The amount of DC bias is selected to set the signal voltage such that a minimally acceptable amount of AC corona is created sufficient for uniform photoreceptor charging while avoiding unnecessary excessive positive corona that causes excessive photoreceptor wear.
