Abstract:
A mechanism for selecting and actuating functions of a timepiece movement comprising a winding stem (1) terminated at one of the ends thereof by a crown, the winding stem (1) being displaceable in rotation and in axial translation, is arranged to occupy three distinct axial positions, namely a first winding position, a second position of selecting one among n functions in response to a rotation of the winding stem (1) about the axis thereof, and a third position of actuating a function kinematically linked to the winding crown. The mechanism further comprises a cam wheel (7) which, when the selection mechanism is in the second position thereof, is kinematically linked to the winding stem (1), the cam wheel (7) including a guide member (8) on which n rest positions are arranged, each corresponding to a function.
Abstract:
A universal device is for preparation of a watch with a gain/loss correction crown and an oscillating resonator. The device includes winding and a gain/loss corrector with a robotic manipulator for manoeuvring the crown. It also includes an adjustment device with a gain/loss correction device including a gain/loss-corrector oscillator generating an oscillation to subject the watch to an oscillation at a correction frequency NC and/or to a modulated movement. The gain/loss correction device includes a gain/loss controller that controls the oscillation of the gain/loss-corrector oscillator, interfaced with a device to measure the gain/loss of the watch. The gain/loss correction device also includes an automatic winder with a watch-holder stand subjected to the oscillations or movements generated by the gain/loss-corrector oscillator.
Abstract:
Push-in watch crown mechanisms and methods are described. The push-in watch crown mechanisms include a locking mechanism for latching the watch crown inside the watch body such that the top of the watch crown is substantially flush to the edge of the watch body. Further, the push-in watch crown mechanisms include a release mechanism for unlatching the watch crown so that it is released outside of the watch body and accessible for use. Additionally, methods of using push-in watch crown mechanisms are described.

Abstract:
An electronic timepiece has a display device that displays display information, a drive mechanism that drives the display device, a crown that can perform a rotary operation, and a control device that corrects the display information displayed on the display device by the rotary operation of the crown. The control device has a single correction mode and a continuous correction mode which are selected by the rotary operation of the crown. In the single correction mode, a single correction signal is output to the drive mechanism so that the display device is corrected as much as a single correction quantity. In the continuous correction mode, a continuous correction signal is output to the drive mechanism so that the display device is corrected as much as a continuous correction quantity. The continuous correction quantity is set depending on types of the display information to be corrected in the continuous correction mode.
Abstract:
A timepiece sub-assembly includes, irreversibly fixed to a main plate and each irreversibly pre-adjusted by the irreversible securing of adjustment and/or assembly components, after the particular timepiece function thereof has been adjusted and function checked on the test bench, functional modules including a gear train module, a display module, and a time-setting module. Other mechanical sub-assemblies, each irreversibly fixed to the preceding lower order mechanical sub-assembly, include various modules including motor module, frame-mounted self-winding device module, escapement holder regulating module, motion work train, date module, and self-winding module. A mechanical movement including at least one mechanical sub-assembly of this type and a watch including a mechanical movement of this type are also disclosed. A method of assembling mechanical sub-assemblies of this type by the irreversible securing of mechanical sub-assemblies and irreversibly pre-adjusted modules is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present application relates to a mechanism for selecting and actuating n functions of a clock movement, where n is an integer no lower than 1, preferably no lower than 2, more preferably no lower than 3, including a winding mechanism rod ending in a crown, a device for actuating a function, said device being kinematically connected to the crown and arranged such as to move and assume n selection positions and n actuation positions in which the actuation device is kinematically connected to an actuation member of the selected function, and a selecting device arranged such as to move the actuation device into a selection position. Said mechanism further includes a base onto which the actuation device is moveably mounted such as to be moved and positioned, by the selecting device, into a selection position facing the actuation member of the selected function, and such as to be moved, by an axial movement of the winding mechanism rod, into the actuation position thereof in order to engage with said actuation member of the selected function.
Abstract:
The dial (4) of the watch is fitted with an indicator (10), preferably with a hand (11), which displays the function fulfilled by a control crown (8), respectively, in each axial position of the crown, including a highly water resistant position in the case of a screwed-in crown. The indicator is controlled by axial movements of a sleeve (15) secured to the crown, via a transmission mechanism (30) including a slide block (35) that is mobile parallel to an axis of rotation (14) of the crown. The hand is secured to a pinion (32) meshed with a rack (34) arranged on a slide block. The slide block includes a flexible part (38) between a back part that slides in a groove (36), and a front arm (39) provided with a lateral finger (40) engaged in an annular groove of the sleeve. This transmission is compact and facilitates assembly and removal.
