Abstract:
A device for tracking wear of a garment and related methods includes a counter body and an indicator. The counter body has a first indicia and a second indicia thereon. The indicator movably connects to the counter body and is configured to be selectively positioned relative to each of the first indicia and the second indicia for selectively aligning the indicator relative to the first indicia or the second indicia. The first indicia is different than the second indicia such that the indicator in alignment with the first indicia is configured to communicate a first wear state of the garment to a user and the indicator in alignment with the second indicia is configured to communicate a second wear state of the garment to the user.
Abstract:
A cleaning management apparatus manages bedside cleaning for an endoscope connected to an examination apparatus. After an examination is completed, a measurement unit measures the operation time of a predetermined operation button of the endoscope. A recording control unit records that a preliminary cleaning has already been performed when the operation time that has been measured satisfies a completion condition. A notification unit gives notice of a message indicating that the preliminary cleaning is completed when the measured operation time satisfies the completion condition.
Abstract:
A pleat counter and methods are provided to accurately count the number of pleats in a corrugated sheet of material to be used for the production of air filters. The pleat counter comprises a pleat detector mounted underneath a mounting board for counting the pleats. The mounting board is configured to position the pleat detector adjacent to the corrugated sheet of filter material. The pleat detector includes one or more sensors configured to detect the presence of individual pleats comprising the corrugated sheet. The pleat counter includes an interface configured to enable coupling the pleat counter with a data processing system. The data processing system may comprise any of a desktop, a tablet, a server, a mobile phone, a media player, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a personal communicator, a network router or hub, a wireless access point (AP) or repeater, a set-top box, or a combination thereof.

Abstract:
A goal tracking system is described. The goal tracking system can include a bracelet having numeric indicia disposed thereon representing an accomplishment or a goal such as weight loss. A button connector is adjacent to each of the numeric indicia to maintain a button-charm. The button-charm is moved from numeric indicia to numeric indicia as a corresponding goal is achieved. In one aspect, the bracelet may be used to track weight loss results, set weight loss goals, promote improved eating habits, and serve as a reminder to stay focused and motivated towards reaching weight loss goals.
Abstract:
A counter mechanism includes: a counter housing including a shaft and a hole; a first set of cam teeth located in the hole; a striker located in the hole and configured to move axially with respect to the hole having a second set of cam teeth; a counter wheel hub having a third set of cam teeth configured to communicate with both the first and second set of cam teeth, the counter wheel hub also having an actuator; and a counter wheel having an actuation feature configured to communicate with the actuator to cause the counter wheel to rotate when the counter wheel hub rotates. A method for counting dispensed items may also be described.
Abstract:
A spring cycle tracker system for a door mounted on a track having at least one spring, with the door having an open and closed position. The system has at least one sensed element and a tracker. The tracker has a sensor having at least one sensing element; and a controller having a counter display, at least one input signal from the at least one sensing element and at least one output signal. The sensed element and the tracker are mounted such that when the door is moved towards the open position and/or the closed position, the sensed element and the controller are moved relative to each other so that the sensing element senses the sensed element, sending an input signal to the controller, incrementing the counter display, tracking a number of times the spring is used.
Abstract:
A water bottle consumption counter apparatus includes a bottle having a bottom, a top, and a continuous side wall extending upwardly from the bottom to the top, the bottle defining a reservoir and an opening defined by the top in communication with the reservoir. A control module is mounted to the bottle bottom and defines an interior area. A processor is situated in the control module interior area. A battery is also situated in the control module interior area and electrically connected to the processor. A timer is electrically connected to the processor. At least one input and one output are positioned on the exterior of the bottle side wall and electrically connected to the processor. The processor is configured to actuate the output when the input is actuated.
Abstract:
The quantity of bulk material in a pile of bulk material is determined using one or more laser scanners that scan the surface of the pile. The signal generated by the scanner(s) is transmitted to a remote computation system that uses the received signals to calculate the quantity of material in the pile. The calculated quantity can be expressed as a volume, a mass or a financial value. The calculated quantity can be sent to an end user either automatically or upon receipt of a request from the end user. The remote computation system can receive and process scanning signals from scanners that mounted to scan the surfaces of different piles of bulk material. The system can also include a server local to the scanners.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a component part counting device including a tray and a known plurality of circular bores located on a face of the tray, each of the bores having a diameter and depth to receive a component, each of the bores having a diameter and depth to prevent more than one of the components from being received.
