Abstract: A system may include a payment card that includes one or more chips that are operable to utilize information in a payment transaction to enact different functions. For example, a payment applet in a contact chip transaction (e.g., contact EMV transaction) or contactless chip transaction (e.g., contactless EMV transaction) may utilize information that flows through the chip (e.g., country, time, date, transaction amount, approval status) to trigger pre-stored messages or functions (e.g., switch to a payment option or account). Information may be introduced into the chip during a transaction as a result of manual input from the cardholder on the cardholder's phone or other device. Thus, transaction scripting (e.g., EMV scripting) may be utilized to let a card (e.g., static or powered) know that a function (e.g., change of account) is desired by a cardholder and the chip may, if not in the proper account, reset and restart the chip in a mode associated with the desired function (e.g., in the desired account).

Abstract: An information processing system includes a first service server that provides a first service. The system includes a communication circuitry and a control circuitry. Abstract: Certain example embodiments described herein relate to systems and/or methods for presenting user-interactive, dynamically-generated contextual content for individual articles of clothing. A QR or other code is provided to the article of clothing. The QR or other code is scannable by an electronic device, causing the electronic device to access a webpage or the like. The webpage (or similar information display) includes information typically found on a tag or label, together with additional dynamically-generated and organized content relevant to the article and/or person for whom the article was made. The techniques described herein are usable in connection with mass-produced, small batch/boutique items, as well as custom articles of clothing. Thus, it becomes possible to quickly and easily convey a broad scope of information about an article of clothing directly from that article of clothing, without having to include large and potentially irritating tags or labels.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program for providing a loyalty engine for automated cause marketing. The method can include a charity linking merchants and sponsors to the loyalty system. Once the merchants and the sponsors are linked and the members are registered, merchant defined rules can instruct a loyalty engine as to the level of donations in connection with one or more transactions by a member that is associated to the loyalty program. The loyalty system can include a reporting facility to allow the merchant to track transactions with members in a number of ways. A system is also provided that can consist of a server including the loyalty engine and the charity utility. The charity utility can provide the functions of the method and can be linked to the networked server.

The system may execute a gift card redemption process to redeem the available gift card account balance of the customer associated with the merchant.
