摘要： A paper sheet processing device includes: an input unit into which paper sheets are input from the outside; an identification unit for identifying the paper sheets fed out from the input unit while allowing them to pass through in a first direction and identifying the paper sheets while allowing them to pass through in a second direction opposite to the first direction; a temporary storage unit for temporarily storing the paper sheets identified as being acceptable by the identification unit; a payout unit for accommodating the paper sheets identified as being unacceptable by the identification unit so as to be able to be taken out to the outside; and a storage unit for storing the paper sheets fed out from the temporary storage unit and identified by the identification unit while being allowed to pass through the identification unit in the second direction, wherein the paper sheets fed out from the temporary storage unit and identified by the identification unit while being allowed to pass through the identification unit in the second direction can be transferred to the input unit.

摘要： A deposit machine having a cassette with improved usability. The deposit machine includes a body and a header housing integrally fixed to one side of the body and having an infrared ray (IR) sensor and a magnetoresistance (MR) sensor mounted thereon. The IR and MR sensors detect whether banknotes are counterfeit banknotes and whether the banknotes are accommodated. A header cover openably and closably fixed to the header housing by a hinge to allow top of the header housing to be open. The cassette mounted inside the body accommodates banknotes supplied from the header housing.

The transport elements each contact the note in a contact area. At least one aligning apparatus is used for aligning the note, which is arranged between the first and second transport elements and forms a section of the transport path. The note reader detects the trailing edge of the note in a first scanning area and in a second scanning area.

The currency conveyor can be positioned on the safe, have second and third ports, and move banknotes between the second and third ports. The currency conveyor can be positionable in a plurality of different orientations and offsets relative to the safe. The plurality of linking transport assemblies can each be individually engageable with the currency conveyor. Each of the linking transport assembly moves banknotes between the first port of the safe and the second port of the currency conveyor. Each linking transport assembly is individually positionable between the safe and the currency conveyor.

摘要： A sensing apparatus can be configured to detect an edge of a paper that is received by an automated transaction machine (ATM). The paper can move along a path located inside the ATM, the path having opposite first and second sides. The sensing apparatus can include a light emitter and a light detector on the first side of the path, with the light emitter positioned so that it can emit light across the path to the second side. The light detector can be configured to detect light from the light emitter and can emit a signal corresponding to an amount of detected light. The sensing apparatus can also include a control circuit that can control a flow of power to the light emitter, and the control circuit can also receive the signal emitted by the sensor.
