    摘要: A method for expressing a vibratory music that may be felt as a piece of music for a human being in according with an acoustic vibration in an auditory region and/or a body sensible vibration or a body sensible acoustic vibration and an apparatus therefor are obtained. A signal about 16 Hz to 150 Hz (sound compass C0 to D3) in a frequency band of a body sensible vibration is used and what is composed and arranged in combination of strength, length, frequency, waveform and overlap of the vibration on a time basis, based upon a constant theory is expressed as a vibratory music. Transducers 5 are assembled into a backrest, a seat portion and a leg portion of a reclining seat, respectively. Speakers are mounted on a head portion. The transducers for outputting the sound vibrations are provided on both arm rests. It is possible to hear the sound output from the speakers and simultaneously feel the body sensible vibration by the body (back, hips, legs) by the two transducers and to obtain the sound vibration with the finger tips.

    摘要: A music and percussion system is described including a fully functional stringed hollow-body electric musical instrument, a floor unit, an interface unit, and connecting cables. The instrument includes a microphone, a pickup, and a plurality of transducers, also known as acoustic drum triggers, that are mounted on selected interior surfaces within the instrument neck and body. By using a playing technique that combines strumming with tapping on the instrument neck or body, an instrumentalist is able to play the instrument strings and to simultaneously trigger sounds stored within a percussion synthesizer. Two transducers, each within a housing, are included in the floor unit. The instrumentalist may tap his or her feet on the housings to trigger additional sounds stored within the percussion synthesizer. Output signals from the instrument microphone, pickup, instrument transducers and floor unit transducers are transferred by appropriate electrical connections to the interface unit. The interface includes output jacks that provide connections to a mixer, preamp, and percussion synthesizer by standard cables. The interface also includes a switching component that switches drum sounds whenever the instrumentalist breaks an infrared beam that is transmitted from a sensor that is included in the floor unit. Certain switches included in the floor unit provide control of additional parameters of a percussion synthesizer including hi-hat position and patch selection. Units comprised of the inner components of the instrument described herein may be installed within existing stringed instruments.

    摘要: A transducer for musical instruments formed as a sandwich structure that utilizes a length of polarized fluoropolymer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) film folded over itself to form a U-shape over a center conductor of a length of shielded coaxial cable. Conductive silver epoxy is used to attach the center conductor of the coaxial cable to the inner surface electrode of the PVDF film. A length of double-sided tape is sandwiched between the two legs of the U-shaped PVDF film. The free end of the coaxial cable is folded over a side edge of the U-shaped PVDF film such that an outer shield of the coaxial cable is exposed outside the PVDF film. A U-shaped brass channel, whose inner surface has been coated with conductive epoxy, is then crimped over both the outer shield of the coaxial cable and the U-shaped end of the laminated PVDF film to form a transducer assembly, which is then laminated to a length of double-sided tape having an outer removable backing layer. The free end of the coaxial cable may be terminated in any desired type of audio connector. In use, the backing layer of the double-sided tape is removed to permit adhesive mounting of the transducer assembly to a desired acoustic surface to be monitored.

The stringed instrument has a body and a plurality of strings and each of the plurality of strings is respectively coupled to a pickup of a polyphonic pickup. The polyphonic pickup is used to detect a vibration signal for each string. An A/D converter converts the detected vibration signal of a string into a digital string vibration signal. Further, a digital signal processor is located within the body of the stringed instrument to process the digital string vibration signal. Particularly, the digital signal processor is used to process the digital string vibration signal such that the corresponding string tone of one of a plurality of selectable stringed instruments may be emulated. The emulated digital tone signal is then converted to analog form to create an emulated analog tone signal for output to an amplification device.
