摘要: A method in which a delegated client sends a request message containing operation information, a delegated client identity (ID), and a delegating client ID at the time of sending an operation request to a target system. The target system receives the request message and delegation-authorizes the delegated client by examining whether the delegating client is authorized to perform the operation requested by the request message and also whether the delegating client has delegated the authority to perform the operation to the delegated client sending the request message using the delegating client ID included in the request message. A new header is provided which includes ID information of the delegating client in the request message. When receiving the request message, the target system performs a procedure for authenticating and authorizing not only the delegated client but also the delegating client using the delegating client ID.

摘要: A system remaps image data generated by successive sweeps of the image by a single transducer element into a format for use by a print head assembly which requires the simultaneous application of plural modulating signals to a plurality of print elements thereon to effect printing of the image. Horizontal strips of the image data corresponding to the height of the arrangement of print elements within the head assembly are successively transferred from a page buffer which stores the image to a horizontal strip buffer, from which successive columns of each strip along the length thereof are transferred through a rotator for rearrangement into new groups of data oriented at right angles relative to the prior arrangement thereof for storage in a vertical strip buffer. From the vertical strip buffer the new groups of data are applied through deserializers to modulate the plural print elements in the form of ink jet nozzles as the head assembly undergoes successive sweeps across a printable medium.

摘要: An arrangement for synchronizing one or more input/output devices in teleprinters in the context of a subdivision, necessitated by the use of a five-bit code (CCITT 2) for communications transmission purposes, of the total quantity of characters into letters/figures levels employs a storage device in which the level relationship (letters and figure levels) of the character last transmitted or received is stored. A comparator connected to the storage device compares the level relationship of the stored character with that of a character ready for transmission and in the event of disparity operates, via a logic arrangement, to effect the introduction of a level-related switching symbol.

摘要: The described apparatus is interposed between the modem or line adapter of a synchronous transmission line and the data processor and will identify for the processor, the code in which data is being received. The discriminator is particularly useful in a system where any one of a number of data terminals using different transmission codes can be connected to one of the ports of the processor. In use, the discriminator examines, at each bit time, the last grouping of bits it has received to detect the presence of a code identifying character. When it detects one such character, the system waits until another character is received to determine if the second character is consistent with the tentatively identified code. If not, the system resets to continue looking for a new identification character. The system continues hunting until a transmission code is fully identified. The discriminator then notifies the processor of the code in which the data is being received.

摘要: An input/output assembly comprises a pair of members coupled such that a first thereof carrying an input/output element is reciprocative relative the second at each position of the second; and both members are translocatable simultaneously in a path extending transversely of the direction of reciprocation. First and second electrical induction coils, having portions which are coupled in the magnetic flux field of a permanent magnet structure, are secured to the first and second members, respectively, with the coupled portions disposed in planes having orthogonal aspects, each to the other. The second coil is circumposed about a rail which is included in the magnetic structure and is movable longitudinally thereof in response to magnetmotive forces when the transducer is adapted as a motor and in response to mechanical forces applied to the element when the transducer is adapted as a generator for generating an electrical effect therein. The displacement of the second coil results in simultaneous movement of the first coil longitudinally of said rail. The first coil is arranged in said flux field for movement transversely of said rail independently from the second coil such that the element is reciprocated when the transducer operates as a motor and an electrical effect is generated therein upon movement of the element along a vector having a velocity coordinate corresponding to the first coil when the transducer operates as a generator. The rail may be arcuate whereby the first member is reciprocative radially, along an r axis, independently of said second member with which it is simultaneously translocatable angularly, along a theta axis in a plane with the r axis.
