Abstract:
A cane includes an integral light in the handle, a leg attachment strap, and a foot attaching stirrup. The cane includes a rod assembly and a stirrup assembly. In one embodiment, the rod assembly includes a rod being a uniform cylindrical structure that is adapted to extend the length of a user's leg. The handle is disposed at a top most end of the rod and includes the light being embedded therein to provide illumination to the front and rear of a user. The stirrup provides a means for a user to nestle their foot to provide proper support.
Abstract:
A light reflecting headgear assembly includes an article of headgear that is wearable on a user's head. The article of headgear is comprised of a rigid material to protect the user's head from impact. A substrate is coupled on the article of headgear and a plurality of beads is each partially embedded into the substrate. Each of the beads is comprised of a translucent material to pass light therethrough. Each of the beads is partially embedded into the substrate to reflect light for enhancing visibility of the article of headgear in a darkened environment. A covering layer is positioned over the plurality beads and the covering layer is comprised of a translucent material to pass light therethrough.
Abstract:
An intelligent umbrella includes a wireless communication transceiver to receive commands or messages from a mobile computing device and an integrated computing device, the integrated computing device including one or more memory devices, one or more processors and computer-readable instructions stored in the one or more memory devices. The computer-readable instructions are executable by the one or more processors to receive the commands or messages, via the wireless communication transceiver from the mobile computing device and to generate instructions, signals, commands and/or messages, based, at least in part on the received commands or messages from the mobile computing device. The computer-readable instructions are executable by the one or more processors to communicate the generated instructions, signals, commands or messages to one or more assemblies of the intelligent umbrella to cause the one or more assemblies of the intelligent umbrella to move in a specified manner.

Abstract:
An accessory is provided that includes power supply module, a first functional module, and a second functional module. The power supply module can be configured to be suspended beneath an overhead support, such as a hub of an umbrella. The first functional module is configured to affix to the power supply module and to be powered by the power supply module to provide a user directed function. The second functional module is configured to be detachably coupled to either the power supply module or the first functional module to receive power from the power supply module directly or through the first functional module.
Abstract:
A multi-functional activity management system for elderly utilizes prior art walking sticks to manage big data related to activity of elderly persons. In addition, new improvements have been made upon prior art walking sticks. By incorporating umbrella function into the walking stick, the stem portion becomes narrower and shorter, thereby making it easy to be inserted into the thin walking stick.
Abstract:
An easily controllable umbrella includes a base, a column, an umbrella frame, lighting elements, a control device for controlling the lighting elements, a power supply assembly with a power plug for powering the lighting elements, a control panel, a touch control circuit board, and a remote control circuit board; the lighting elements, the control panel, the touch control circuit board, the remote control circuit board and the power plug form a lighting circuit, and the remote control circuit board controls the touch control circuit board. The control device includes a touch control circuit board and a remote control circuit board, remote control of the umbrella being realized through a remote control signal-matched with a receiver on the remote control circuit board, touch control of the umbrella being realized by pressing the umbrella. That is, the umbrella can support both remote control and touch control.
Abstract:
A walking stick includes a main part that is stick-like, a sensor that detects at least one of an acceleration of the main part and an angular velocity of the main part, a light emitter that emits light on a ground, a balance evaluator that evaluates a user's walking balance stability based on at least one of the detected acceleration and the detected angular velocity, and an emitting controller that controls a light emitting direction of the light based on a result of the evaluation and an inclination angle of the main part.
Abstract:
Devices and systems are provided that comprise a reaching apparatus removably coupled with a mobility device such that an individual can couple, uncouple, and/or use the reaching apparatus while concurrently using the mobility device for stability and/or mobility assistance. Related devices, systems, and kits further comprise a sheath for coupling with a mobility device using one or more attachment means, the sheath configured to slidably receive at least part of the reaching apparatus therein. Furthermore, methods for using such devices and systems are provided, providing both retrofit options and otherwise.
Abstract:
A warning lamp has a first assembling member, a second assembling member, a clamping space, an illuminating unit and a battery unit. The first assembling member is pervious to light and has a concave clamping section. The second assembling member is detachably and securely connected with the first assembling member and has a concave pressing section. The clamping space is formed between the pressing section and the clamping section and is capable of receiving a bar. The illuminating unit and the battery unit are securely mounted in the first assembling member. Because the second assembling member is detachably and securely connected with the first assembling member, the warning lamp can clamp different objects at different positions of the objects.
