摘要： A stackable frame that may couple to the planar underside of structures and act as support may be formed by vertical downwards and outwards sloping tubular leg members that are connected at their tops by a rigid inverted square tray and at their bent lower parts by outward convex curved pipe members disposed in a plane. In different embodiments, the frame may comprise different member cross-sections and dimensions of the longitudinal members for the support of different embodiments of attachable tops with which different functional objects like tables, chairs and stools may be formed. Aggregate frames may also constitute supports for large platforms or other elevated surfaces. Identical attachable table tops may, in turn, be nested and stacked such that their normally exposed surfaces are protected whilst a stacked configuration.

摘要： There is provided a backrest pivoting system having a backrest and an actuator for pivoting the backrest. The actuator is pivotably connected to the backrest by a pivot defining a first pivot axis. The backrest is configured to pivot about a guide member which defines a second pivot axis coaxial with the first pivot axis. There is also provided a backrest pivoting system including an actuator and a resilient member mounted in series with the actuator. There is also provided an extendable user support assembly comprising a lower body support panel and a core support panel supported by a frame, the lower body support panel being translatable relative to the frame such that an opening is created between the lower body support panel and the core support panel when the lower body support panel is translated away from the core support panel. There is also provided a method for placing a bed in a vascular position.

摘要： A modular table comprising a main table body having a center portion, a mid-section which is disposed vertically underneath the main table body wherein the mid-section is adapted to provide vertical support to the main table body. An alternative embodiment of the table has a center portion of the main table body which is telescopically expandable allowing the mid-section to become vertically disposed. This telescopic expansion can be achieved using jack screws or rotatable mid-section. The table trunk is capable of housing a plurality of stools or chairs. The stools or chairs can be coupled together and, when placed end to end, provide a further base for the main table body due to a notch which is formed and which fits an extension which protrudes downwardly from the main table body. The main table body can also have a reversible table top which can be designed to be a gaming board or a bar top.

摘要： The invention discloses a pedestal apparatus for an article of furniture. The pedestal apparatus has an elongate post formation defining a first end and a second end and having a longitudinal axis. The post formation immovably supports a fixed foot arrangement and also movably supports a variable foot arrangement. The variable foot arrangement is selectively movable along and around the longitudinal axis for varying a longitudinal and angular proximity between the variable foot arrangement and the fixed foot arrangement. Biasing means are provided for controlling movement of the variable foot arrangement whereby, in use, the biasing means causes both the fixed foot arrangement and the variable foot arrangement to abut an underlying surface and thereby provide a substantial stabilization of the pedestal apparatus.

The contact surface and the engaging portion may be directly adjacent to each other in the lower portion of the lip.
