摘要： A patient support apparatus for supporting a patient in a prone position during a surgical procedure is provided, including an open fixed frame suspended above a floor and a pair of spaced opposed radially sliding joints cooperating with the frame, each joint including a virtual pivot point and an arc of motion spaced from the virtual pivot point, the joints being movable along the arc providing a pivot ship mechanism for a pair of pelvic pads attached to the joints. A base for supporting and suspending a patient support structure above the floor, for supporting a patient during a surgical procedure, the base including a pair of spaced opposed vertical translation subassemblies reversibly attachable to a patient support structure, a cross-bar, and a rotation subassembly having two degrees of rotational freedom; wherein a location of each vertical translation subassembly is substantially constant during operation of the patient support structure.

The table also comprises a first tray arranged within the carrier and a second tray arranged within the carrier. The second tray is parallel to the first tray when in a first position and the second tray and the first tray having a predetermined sized gap arranged therebetween when the carrier is in a first position. The rotating autopsy table may allow for a single user of the table to perform an autopsy procedure on the front of a cadaver or body and then rotate the table on their own, such that the autopsy procedure may be continued on the back of the body without help from other equipment or other people to flip or turn the body over.

摘要： Embodiments disclosed herein concern a distraction system for use with a surgical table having a table portion and a base portion. The distraction system includes a pair of arms rotatably connectable to the base portion at a proximal end portion of each arm. A pair of telescopically adjustable support posts extend upwardly from corresponding arms. Each arm rotates about a vertically oriented axis to provide for hip adduction and abduction of a patient's leg. Each support post extends from a linear bearing attacked to the corresponding one of the pair of arms for movement along the arm to facilitate applying traction to a patient's leg. The system can also include a table extension attachable to the table portion and a friction pad mounted on the table extension.

A control system disables at least a first control and changes an illumination state of a backlight when the patient support apparatus is in a particular state. In some embodiments, the particular state is the arming of an exit detection system and/or the deactivation of a brake on the patient support apparatus. The particular state may also or alternatively be tied to a particular mode of the patient support apparatus, such as a diagnostic mode, a maintenance mode, and/or a normal mode. The control system may also never illuminate a first icon on the patient support apparatus if it was initially configured in a particular manner, such as being intended for sale in a particular geographic market.

The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.
