摘要: A guidewire sizer that is integrated with a medical instrument the surgeon already uses in a surgical procedure involving a guidewire, or with another suitable item used in the surgical procedure is provided. The surgeon may, in some cases, use a single instrument for both measuring a guidewire diameter and performing at least one other task in a surgical procedure. The provided guidewire sizer may be a channel integrated with a body of a medical component, such as an instrument or other suitable item. The channel may be an indentation in the body's exterior surface or may be enclosed within the body. The channel includes at least two discrete portions that are each formed with a respective width that conforms to a dimension of a guidewire of a particular diameter, which enables measuring a guidewire diameter.

摘要: Disclosed herein are devices and methods for removing tissue. In one aspect, a device for removing tissue includes a hollow elongate member having an outer wall and a lumen, a selectively deployable tissue-cutting element extending from the hollow elongate member, and an actuation member extending through the lumen and coupled to the hollow elongate member at a location that is distal to the tissue-cutting element. Movement of the actuation member can cause the tissue-cutting element to move from the insertion configuration where the tissue-cutting element is not deployed to a tissue-cutting configuration where the tissue-cutting element is deployed such that it is radially extended relative to the insertion configuration.

摘要: The invention discloses a three-dimensional atrial septal puncture method including positioning the heart from a body surface by a three-dimensional projection positioning method and displaying interventional instruments by the three-dimensional system and guiding the same into a heart cavity. The method also includes constructing a right atrium three-dimensional model by delivering a catheter with a positioning device to the right atrium and reconstructing and fusing pre-operative image data by the three-dimensional system. The method also includes setting parameters, connecting an interventional operating device with a pressure sensor tail wire and an electrode tail wire, and displaying a guidewire or a puncture needle. The method includes delivering and positioning the long sheath, analyzing and marking the fossa ovalis position by a structure and potential method. The method also includes analyzing the pressure difference between the left atrium and the right atrium, and judging whether the puncture is successful.

摘要: A system for monitoring a volume of a bladder during a surgical procedure. The system includes one or more processors; and a memory that is communicatively coupled to the one or more processors and stores one or more sequences of instructions, which when executed by one or more processors causes steps to be performed comprising: receiving information of a maximum volume of the bladder before the surgical procedure; receiving one or more ultrasound images from an ultrasonic scanner; based on the one or more ultrasound images, determining a volume of the bladder; comparing a maximum volume of the bladder to the determined volume of the bladder; and responsive to a difference between the maximum volume and determine volume of the bladder exceeding a threshold, issuing a warning associated with the difference.

The distal end of the flexible center backbone penetrates through the distal disk and then extends into the distal execution segment, and is connected with the end-effector. The deformable segment with combined motion is provided with the connecting piece. The proximal driving segment is provided with proximal driving tendons. The proximal driving tendons penetrate through the proximal disk, and then are fixedly connected with the connecting piece.

摘要: A needle assembly for pleural space insufflation is disclosed. The needle assembly has an outer shaft defining one or more pliable tissue receivers. The needle assembly also has a needle moveable within the outer shaft from a retracted position to an engaged position that does not extend past a distal end of the outer shaft. A method of pleural space insufflation is also disclosed. A parietal pleura is contacted with a distal end of an outer shaft that defines one or more pliable tissue receivers. The distal end of the outer shaft is pushed against the parietal pleura so that a portion of the parietal pleura enters the one or more pliable tissue receivers. A needle is advanced within the outer shaft so that the needle pierces the parietal pleura.

The catheter system also comprises an imaging element secured to a distal end portion of the catheter body and configured to obtain optical images of an area located distally of the distal end of the catheter body. The catheter body includes a ridge extending axially along an outer surface of the distal end portion, wherein a width of the ridge measured about a circumference of the catheter body is less than a length of the ridge measured along the longitudinal axis, and the imaging element is radially aligned with the ridge with at least a portion of the imaging element disposed within the ridge.

摘要: A severed nerve may be surgically rejoined and severed axons fused via sequential administrations of solutions. The solutions may include a priming solution comprising methylene blue in a Ca2+-free saline solution, a fusion solution comprising about 50% (w/w) PEG, and a sealing solution comprising Ca2+-containing saline. The PEG fusion solution may be applied in a nerve treatment device configured to isolate the injured segment of the nerve. The device may include a containment chamber for creating a fluid containment field around the anastomosis. The device may have slits, slots, and/or apertures in opposing endwalls of the device designed to receive the nerve. The device may have an open bath configuration or may include separable lower and upper bodies to create a closed bath configuration. The device may include one or more fluid ports in fluid communication with the containment chamber for introducing and/or removing fluid.
