摘要: A method for joining members according to the present invention includes: providing a first member, a second member, a guide shaft member, a rubber member, a first plunger, a second plunger, and a drive mechanism; inserting the second member into a hole portion of the first member; inserting the guide shaft member into a through-hole of the rubber member; inserting the rubber member, into which the guide shaft member is inserted, inside the second member; arranging an assembly in which the first member, the second member, the rubber member, and the guide shaft member so as to horizontally extend; arranging the assembly so as to be sandwiched by the first plunger and the second plunger; and moving the second plunger toward the first plunger; compressing the rubber member by the first plunger and the second plunger in a direction where the guide shaft member extends, and expanding the rubber member radially outside the guide shaft member; and thus expanding and deforming at least a portion of the second member that is inserted into the hole portion to join the portion to the first member by press-fitting.

摘要: A bead forming method includes the steps of preparing a bumper stay having a partition wall that partitions an internal space and extends in a longitudinal direction, an elastic body that can be inserted into the bumper stay, and a pusher that presses the elastic body; inserting the elastic body into the bumper stay and arranging the elastic body in the bumper stay so as not to come into contact with the partition wall; and forming a buckling bead by compressing the elastic body in the longitudinal direction of the bumper stay by the pusher to expand the elastic body outward in a radial direction without coming into contact with the partition wall, thereby bulging a part of an outer wall of the bumper stay outward in the radial direction without deforming the partition wall.

摘要: A tool device for expanding the end of a tube (T) includes an expansion sleeve element made of elastomeric material, the expansion sleeve element being arranged concentrically around a pull rod. A calibration sleeve is arranged concentrically around the expansion sleeve element. The inner die surface of the calibration sleeve comprises a mouth portion which has a fourth diameter (d4) which corresponds with a play to the outer diameter of the tube (T), at least one expansion die portion having a fifth diameter (d5, d6) which is larger than the fourth diameter (d4), and a shoulder between the mouth portion and the expansion die portion. The shoulder keeps the end of the tube (T), while being expanded, stationary in place inside the calibration sleeve. The calibration sleeve comprises mutually openable and closable calibration sleeve parts to enable closing of the calibration sleeve to a closed position (III) for the expanding operation of the end of the tube, and for opening of the calibration sleeve to an opened position (IV) for releasing the expanded end of the tube.

摘要: A method for joining members according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: providing a bumper stay including two integrated pipe portions extending in an identical direction, the bumper stay including a recess provided between the pipe portions being adjacent to each other, the recess extending in a longitudinal direction of the pipe portions from end surfaces of the pipe portions, a part of the recess serving as a locking portion, and a bumper beam including a rear inclined wall formed with two hole portions into which the pipe portions of the bumper stay are insertable respectively; inserting the bumper stay into the hole portions of the bumper beam until the locking portion abuts on the rear inclined wall; and pipe-expanding an insertion portion of the bumper stay into the bumper beam to join the insertion portion to the bumper beam by press-fitting.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a high precision hollow metallic component, by obtaining, through extruding or roll forming, a precursor hollow metallic profile having a constant cross section and at least one precursor chamber; positioning the precursor hollow metallic profile in a split-die cavity, wherein at least two walls of said split die cavity have essentially outside dimensions of corresponding walls of the high-precision hollow metallic component; introducing a mandrel made of at least two parts into the precursor chamber; plastically deforming the precursor hollow metallic profile by expanding the mandrel to obtain finished dimensions of the high-precision hollow metallic component; removing the mandrel from the finished chamber after reversing an expanding action. A variable cross section hollow metallic component, with at least two chambers obtained with the method, is also described.

摘要: To provide a fitting member, an annular member, a joined member and a method of manufacturing the joined member, which prevent occurrence of a not-joined portion. A fitting member 10 has a fitting protrusion 10p which is protruded outward on an outside face 10s. An annular member 20 contains a space 20h in which the fitting member 10 is to be fitted. An annular member 20 has an annular protrusion 20p on an inside face 20f. When the fitting member 10 is fitted into the space 20h at a predetermined depth, the fitting protrusion 10p and the annular protrusion 20p fill not-joined portions which may be generated assuming that they are not provided. A joined member 30 is produced by fitting the fitting member 10 into the space 20h at the predetermined depth, so that a contact portion between the fitting member 10 and the annular member 20 is joined in solid phase.
