摘要: A mirror position registration control apparatus includes a shift position detector that detects a shift position of a vehicle, a mirror surface position detector that detects a change in a mirror surface position in the vehicle, a mirror surface position storage that stores a set mirror surface position; an information display that displays information for a driver who drives the vehicle, a registration operation receiver that receives a registration operation for the mirror surface position inputted by the driver, and a processor that, in a case where the mirror surface position is changed with the shift position set at a reverse position, displays a registration screen for the changed mirror surface position on the information display and stores the changed mirror surface position in the mirror surface position storage on the basis of the registration operation when the shift position is changed from the reverse position to a parking position.

摘要: An active outside rear view system for a vehicle includes a support structure mounted to an exterior surface of the vehicle. A rear view device is movably affixed to the support structure. A linkage extends from a first end to a second end, where the first end of the linkage is movably affixed to an aerodynamic enclosure and the second end of the linkage is movably affixed to the support structure. An actuator is engaged with the linkage and moves the aerodynamic enclosure between at least a first position and a second position different from the first position. The aerodynamic enclosure is independently movable relative to the rear view device and the support structure. The aerodynamic first position and the second position provide differing aerodynamic characteristics to the active outside rear view system.

摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mounting arm. The mirror head is mounted at the mounting arm via an adjustment mechanism. With the mounting arm attached at a side of a vehicle, an adjustment mechanism is operable to adjust the mirror head relative to the mounting arm between a retracted position and an extended position. The adjustment mechanism includes an actuator that is electrically operable to pivotally adjust a link that includes a first end pivotally attached to the mirror head and a second end pivotally attached at the mounting arm. The adjustment mechanism, when the actuator is operated, moves the mirror head along a path between the retracted and extended positions. The actuator is disposed at the mirror head so that, when the mirror head moves between the retracted and extended positions, the actuator travels along the path with the mirror head.

摘要: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head having a mirror reflective element, a support structure configured for attachment at a side of a vehicle, and an adjustment mechanism operable to move the mirror head relative to the support structure between a retracted position and an extended position. A shutoff module includes a body and a plunger movably disposed at the body. The body is attached at one of the mirror head or the support structure and an outer end of the plunger is attached at the other of the mirror head or the body. As the mirror head moves relative to the support structure, an inner end of the plunger moves relative to and along a circuit element of the body. The adjustment mechanism is deactivated responsive to the inner end of the plunger reaching either end of the circuit element.

摘要: A single arm telescoping mirror apparatus comprising a mirror base and mirror head. In one embodiment, a mirror base having a wear plate secured to a single support arm which frictionally engages a single telescoping tube of the mirror head. Furthermore, a mirror base having a roller assembly which frictionally engage the inner wall of a single telescoping tube of the mirror head. Frictional forces created minimize the telescopic or vibrational movement of the mirror head during use of a vehicle. In another aspect, a wear plate is secured to a single telescoping tube while, roller assemblies are attached to a support arm which frictionally engage ridges of the telescoping tube.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an actuator assembly for a mirror head. The actuator includes a tubular member, an inner carriage, an outer carriage, a helix drive shaft and a motor drive. The inner carriage includes one or more inner magnets. The outer carriage is coupled to the mirror head. The outer carriage includes one or more outer magnets magnetically coupled to the one or more inner magnets of the inner carriage. The helix drive shaft is drivably coupled to the inner carriage. The motor drive is configured to rotate the helix drive shaft relative to the tubular member. Upon rotation of the helix drive shaft by the motor drive, the inner carriage translates. The outer carriage also translates along with the inner carriage due to magnetic coupling between the one or more inner magnets and the one or more outer magnets.

摘要: An adjustment unit for an indirect vision system is indicated, which comprises a first and a second component connected to a support structure of an indirect vision system by as little connecting elements as possible. The interface of the adjustment unit to the support structure is to be able to withstand robust mechanical requirements in a small installation space. Due to the second component including a pressure distribution element which extends transversely to a longitudinal direction of the main connecting member, and due to the fact that pressure is applied to the pressure distribution element by the main connecting element, the forces introduced and centrally acting on the pressure distribution element and thus on the second component are equally distributed in a direction transverse to the main connecting element. Traction with the support structure therefore is no longer performed centrally, but spreaded over a transverse extension of the second component. As a result, dimensional changes due to aging—creep behavior of plastics—can be compensated and distortion of the individual components is reduced.

摘要: An exterior rearview mirror assembly configured for mounting at an exterior portion of a vehicle includes a mounting arm configured for attachment at the vehicle, a mirror head disposed at an end of the mounting arm and movable relative to the mounting arm, and an electrically operated actuator operable to move the mirror head relative to the mounting arm. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element that, when the actuator is electrically operated, moves in tandem with the mirror head. The actuator, with the mounting arm attached at the exterior portion of the vehicle, and when the actuator is electrically operated, moves the mirror head relative to the mounting arm to vertically and horizontally adjust a rearward field of view of a driver of the vehicle who is viewing the mirror reflective element.
