Abstract: A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mirror mount that mounts at the vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly at an interior surface of a vehicle. The mirror head includes an actuator having a mirror-attaching portion attached at a back plate at the rear of the reflective element and a mount-attaching portion attached at the mirror mount and pivotable relative to the mirror-attaching portion. The actuator includes a pair of motors operable to rotatably drive respective gears that impart pivotal movement of the mirror-attaching portion relative to the mount-attaching portion. At least in part responsive to processing of captured image data, the actuator adjusts the mirror head and a driver-monitoring camera accommodated by the mirror head relative to the mirror mount to position the face of the driver of the vehicle within a field of view of the driver-viewing camera.

Abstract: A vehicular electrochromic interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head that accommodates an electrochromic mirror reflective element. The electrochromic mirror reflective element includes an electrochromic medium disposed between a front glass substrate and a rear glass substrate. A first electrically conductive connector is disposed at least partially within the perimeter seal and extends along a first portion of a peripheral edge region of the mirror reflective element and electrically conductively connects a transparent electrically conductive coating at the front glass substrate to a first electrical connector at the rear glass substrate. A second electrically conductive connector is disposed at least partially within the perimeter seal and extends along a second portion of the peripheral edge region of the mirror reflective element and electrically conductively connects an electrically conductive coating at the rear glass substrate to a second electrical connector at a rear side of the rear glass substrate.

Abstract: A vehicular frameless interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head and a mounting portion. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element and a mirror casing. The mirror reflective element includes a glass substrate having a planar front side and a planar rear side. No portion of the mirror casing overlaps the planar front side of the glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. A camera is disposed within the mirror casing behind the mirror reflective element. With the mounting portion of the mirror assembly mounted at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, the camera views a driver of the vehicle, and when the mirror head is moved by the driver to adjust a rearward view of the driver, the camera moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head. The camera is part of a driver monitoring system of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting structure configured for mounting at an interior portion of a vehicle. The mounting structure includes a mounting arm that has (i) a proximal end portion and (ii) a distal end portion distal from the proximal end portion. With the mounting structure mounted at the interior portion of the vehicle, the proximal end portion of the mounting arm is attached at the interior portion of the vehicle. A motorized actuator is disposed within a mirror housing that accommodates a reflective element. The motorized actuator is electrically operable to adjust the reflective element and the mirror housing together and in tandem relative to the mounting structure to provide a desired rearward field of view to a driver of the vehicle when the vehicular interior rearview mirror assembly is mounted and operated in the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a rear-viewing camera disposed at a vehicle and viewing at least rearward of the vehicle. Video images derived from frames of image data captured by a CMOS imaging array of the rear-viewing camera during a driving maneuver are displayed at a video display screen within the vehicle for viewing by a driver of the vehicle. An electro-optic rearview mirror assembly includes an electro-optic mirror reflective element. An electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at the vehicle includes a processor operable to process captured frames of image data. The ECU determines, via processing by the processor of frames of image data captured by the CMOS imaging array of the rear-viewing camera, glaring light emanating from a rearward approaching vehicle rearward of the vehicle. The ECU controls dimming of the electro-optic mirror reflective element based at least on part on the determined glaring light.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior door handle assembly includes a base portion disposed at a door handle region of a vehicular door, a handle portion attached at the base portion, a radar unit, and a heat dissipating element. The interior portion of the handle portion includes a first zone and a second zone separated from the first zone by a thermally insulating barrier. The radar unit is disposed at and generates heat at the first zone of the interior portion of the handle portion. The heat dissipating element includes a heat pipe. A first end of the heat pipe is in thermal conductivity with the radar unit within the first zone, and a second end of the heat pipe distal from the first end is disposed in the second zone. The heat pipe is configured to dissipate heat from the first zone to the second zone.

Abstract: A vehicular lighted exterior rearview mirror system includes a lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly for mounting at a side of a vehicle. A light module is disposed at the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly. The light module includes at least three illumination sources linearly arranged at a circuit board. When the at least three illumination sources are individually actuated, light emitted by each individual illumination source is emitted outboard away from the side of the vehicle. When the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a first input, the light module emits light in a first pattern. With the lighted exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the side of the vehicle, and when the at least three illumination sources are actuated responsive to a second input, the light module emits light in a second pattern that is different from the first pattern.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a plurality of cameras disposed at a vehicle, a multiplexor operable to aggregate the image data from the cameras into aggregated image data, and an interior rearview mirror assembly disposed at the vehicle remote from the multiplexor. The interior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head adjustably disposed at a mounting base configured to attach at an interior portion of the vehicle. The mirror head includes a mirror casing and a mirror reflective element. The interior rearview mirror assembly includes an image processor for processing image data. The interior rearview mirror assembly includes a display for displaying images captured by the cameras. The image processor, responsive to receiving the aggregated image data transferred from the multiplexor, displays at the video display video images derived at least in part from the aggregated image data.

Abstract: A vehicular window assembly includes a window panel having an inner surface and an outer surface, electrically conductive traces established at the inner surface of the window panel, a pair of busbars established at the inner surface and in electrical connection with respective portions of the electrically conductive traces, and an electrical connector affixed at each busbar and configured to electrically connect to a wire harness of a vehicle when the vehicular window assembly is installed at the vehicle. The electrical connector includes a bonding portion, a connecting terminal and a busbar-connecting portion. The connecting terminal is configured to electrically connect to the wire harness of the vehicle. The bonding portion is adhesively bonded at the window panel. The electrical connector is bonded at the window panel with the busbar-connecting portion electrically connected to the respective busbar without use of solder.

Abstract: A vehicular interior electrochromic mirror reflective element includes a planar rear interior mirror-shaped glass substrate and a planar front interior mirror-shaped glass substrate. The front glass substrate is shape cut from a planar glass sheet. A perimeter seal establishes an interpane cavity between the rear glass substrate and the planar glass sheet at a respective planar front glass substrate portion of the planar glass sheet. An electrochromic medium is disposed in the interpane cavity. With the rear glass substrate joined with the respective planar front glass substrate portion of the planar glass sheet via the perimeter seal, the planar glass sheet is shape cut at the respective planar front glass substrate portion and the circumferential perimeter cut edges of glass substrates are processed to provide a circumferential rounded perimeter edge of the vehicular interior electrochromic mirror reflective element having a radius of curvature of at least 2.5 mm.
