    摘要: Disclosed embodiments include a suction pile vent plug having a cylindrically-shaped body having a sealing element, a plurality of coupling features, and a handle connected to the cylindrically-shaped body. The sealing element is configured to form a watertight seal with walls of a suction pile vent into which the vent plug is installed. The plurality of coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of the suction pile vent. The movable handle is configured to be moved into one or more locked configurations. Disclosed embodiments further include a suction pile vent having a hollow cylindrically-shaped body having coupling features. The coupling features are configured to engage with corresponding coupling features of a suction pile vent plug to thereby mechanically couple the suction pile vent plug to the suction pile vent. Disclosed embodiments further include a fluidic port that fluidically couples a suction pile to a removable fluidic coupling.

    摘要: In a general aspect, suction anchors are disclosed that include a tubular body formed at least in part of cementitious materials. The tubular body has a closed end, an open end, and a perimeter wall. The perimeter wall defines a shape of the tubular body and is former at least in part of the cementitious materials. The tubular body also includes a channel internal to the perimeter wall defining a spiral around a longitudinal axis of the tubular body. The tubular body additionally includes an edge defining an opening for the open end. The edge is configured to penetrate the underwater floor. The suction anchors also include a post-tensioning device through the channel in a tensioned state and a port configured to fluidly-couple at least part of a cavity within the tubular body to an exterior of the tubular body.

    摘要: An embeddable seepage module capable of being embedded into an interface ring shear apparatus is disclosed, wherein: the seepage module includes an annular cylinder, a seepage pressure regulation system, a top plate and a bottom plate; the interface ring shear apparatus includes an upper shear box and a lower shear box; the annular cylinder, the top plate, the bottom plate, the upper shear box and the lower shear box form an internal pressure cavity and an external pressure cavity; the internal pressure cavity is able to realize the precise double control of the soil seepage pressure and water flow through the seepage pressure regulation system; the external pressure cavity is able to collect fine soil particles under pressure seepage. In the case of soil seepage-shear coupling, the seepage module is assembled firstly for seepage, and after completing the seepage, the external pressure cavity is removed for ring shear tests.

    摘要: A raft anchoring assembly for anchoring a raft in a swimming pool includes a raft for floating in a swimming pool. A plurality of anchors is included and each of the anchors includes a line is coupled to a suction cup. The suction cup on each of the anchors engages a floor or a wall of a swimming pool to secure the anchors. A plurality of attachments is provided and each of the attachments is coupled to the outer surface of the raft. The line of each of the anchors is releasably coupled to a respective one of the attachments to inhibit the raft from drifting in the pool.

    摘要: A mooring system for a floating vessel such as a drilling unit is provided. The floating vessel has a platform for providing drilling, production or other operations in a marine environment, and a tower for providing ballast and stability below a water line in the marine environment. The mooring system generally includes a plurality of anchors disposed radially around the tower along a seabed, and a plurality of mooring lines. Each mooring line has a first end operatively connected to the tower, and a second end operatively connected to a respective anchor. Each mooring line further comprises at least two substantially rigid links joined together using linkages. Each joint is at least five meters in length. The mooring system is capable of maintaining station-keeping for the vessel greater than about 100 Mega-Newtons such that operations may be conducted when the marine environment is substantially iced over.
