Abstract: A pile driving system for driving a pile into the soil comprises a drive head member on a top end of the pile to engage the pile, a lift system between the drive head member and the drop tank for bringing the drop tank into an initial height position relative to the drive head member, and a quick release system for quick release of the lift system so that the drop tank falls down from said initial height position. It further comprises a liquid fillable drop tank, that has a capacity to hold more than 500m3 of a liquid therein and that is vertically mobile above and relative to the drive head member, and an energy transfer assembly configured for transfer of energy from the falling drop tank to the drive head member.

Abstract: A pile guide has a cylinder having a central aperture therein, and constructed and arranged to receive a pile through the central aperture of the cylinder. Opposing wings extend generally vertically, such as from a side of a floating object. Flanges of a retainer extend from opposite sides of the retainer and slide within slots in the wings to provide adjustability of the pile guide by allowing movement of the cylinder relative to the dock or other floating object. Upon positioning the cylinder with the pile in the cylinder, the retainer or retainer is fixed in place relative to the wings. The distance of the cylinder from the floating dock is set to accommodate for variable distances of piles from the floating dock or floating object.

The carriage and drive assembly configured to be rotatable relative to the mast between a loading position for loading a non-vertically oriented pile onto the drive shaft and an operable position for driving the pile into the underlying ground surface.

Abstract: A pile-driver assembly for driving a pile into the ground, preferably offshore, and a method of driving a pile into the ground using the pile-driver assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes a casing defining a chamber, the chamber being configured to house a fluid. The assembly further includes a positioning element configured to position the casing at or on the pile, wherein at least a portion of the positioning element is positioned between the chamber and the pile. The assembly further includes actuating means, wherein actuation of the actuating means displaces the chamber relative to the positioning element, such that the chamber moves away from the pile, and wherein the actuating means is configured to release the chamber for displacement towards the pile such that a force is exerted by the chamber on the positioning member, to controllably drive the pile into the ground.

A rotary power means, attached to the helical pile section moves along a vertical movement guide and is driven by a vertical actuator to rotationally and vertically drive the helical section into the ground. A method of use is also disclosed.
