摘要: In another aspect, a method for fueling an aircraft, the method including storing liquified gas fuel using a fuel tank, wherein the fuel tank is configured to store liquified gas fuel, fueling an aircraft using a fuel line. Fueling the aircraft may additionally include the fuel tank with liquified gas fuel to a desired level, wherein a desired level comprises fuel for a plurality of flights plus reserves. Filling may also include removing the fuel line as a function of the desired level. The method may additionally include venting the fuel tank using a vent line in fluid connection to the fuel tank. The fuel tank may then be prepared for flight as a function of a desired level. Finally, the method includes flying a plurality of flights using the aircraft.

摘要: An aircraft wing box is disclosed having a fuel tank with a fuel-tight boundary, upper and lower covers, forward and aft spars, and a partition including an inboard portion, an outboard portion, and a third portion between the inboard and outboard portions. Each cover is attached to each spar, the inboard portion of the partition is joined to each cover and joined to one of the spars, the outboard portion of the partition is joined to each cover and joined to one of the spars, each cover is joined to the partition. The inboard part, outboard part and third part of the partition are integrally formed as a single-piece; and the single-piece provides part of the fuel-tight boundary of the fuel tank.

摘要: A fuel containment system for an aircraft is provided. The fuel containment system comprises an upper fuel barrier under a cabin floor, an aft wheel well bulkhead, an aft fuel barrier opposite the aft wheel well bulkhead, a lower fuel barrier associated with a cargo floor, and a lower fuselage skin panel. A fuel tank is created by the upper fuel barrier, the aft wheel well bulkhead, the aft fuel barrier, the lower fuel barrier, and the lower fuselage skin. The fuel tank is integrated into the aircraft and existing structural components are sealed to prevent fuel from leaking out of the integrated fuel tank.

摘要: A liquid tank system comprises a main liquid tank, an outlet communicating between a fluid circuit and the main liquid tank, an inlet communicating between the fluid circuit and the main liquid tank, and an auxiliary cavity. First vent passage and second vent passage(s) communicate between the main liquid tank and the auxiliary cavity and allows liquid and gas to flow from the main liquid tank to the auxiliary cavity. The second vent passage has a flow control device regulating flow through the second vent passage and having a set point at which it allows liquid and gas to flow from the main liquid tank to the auxiliary cavity only when a pressure in the main liquid tank is beyond a threshold. The liquid tank system has an attitude envelope in which the liquid tank system is configured such that, in use, the flow control device blocks flow through the second vent passage when an end of the first vent passage in the main liquid tank is above a liquid level, and the flow control device allows gas and/or fluid flow through the second vent passage when main fluid tank pressure is above the threshold and the end of the first vent passage in the main liquid tank is below the liquid level.

In one example, a baffle fuel dam is a single piece having slotted holes sized and spaced to accommodate for tolerance variations during installation. The disclosure also relates to tank boundary fuel dams that include a two-piece configuration which incorporates slotted holes to accommodate tolerance variations and that are sized/spaced for different installation locations. The tank boundary fuel dams may also include a base angle that allows installation at multiple locations.

The inner volume of said fuel stabilization chamber is arranged in fluid communication with the inner storage volume such that said fuel is movable from the inner storage volume to the inner volume. An inert gas device is operably coupled to the inner volume of the fuel stabilization chamber. Inert gas output from the inert gas device interacts with a fuel in the inner volume to remove dissolved oxygen from the fuel in said inner volume.
