摘要: Apparatus for transporting and stacking battery plates in which pasted battery plates are delivered from a drying oven to a stacking station by an entry conveyor. In the stacking station, a stack of battery plates builds up on a stacking elevator which then deposits the stack on a take-off conveyor. The take-off conveyor indexes, moving the stack of battery plates out of the stacking station to make room for the next stack. A change elevator moves into the stacking station to handle incoming battery plates while the stacking elevator deposits a stack on the take-off conveyor and the take-off conveyor indexes to remove the stack. A partial stack of battery plates accumulates on the change elevator. When the previous stack has been removed from the stacking station, the partial stack is transferred from the change elevator to the stacking elevator, a full stack builds up on the stacking elevator and the cycle repeats.

摘要: A device for placing objects, in particular filled bags, in a row in such a way that they overlap slanting backwards, comprises at least one rotor (3) to be driven so that it rotates, which rotor is provided with at least one cam in the form of a diameter Jump, at least one conveyor track (1) for feeding in objects to said cam, and at least one conveyor track (2) for discharging objects which have been carried along by the cam of the rotating rotor (3) and deposited on the discharge conveyor tracks. The cam (4) on rotation of the rotor (3) makes space for the object resting on said cam and to be placed on the discharge conveyor track (2), and the feed end of the discharge conveyor track (2) is situated next to the rotor (3).

摘要: An envelope flap up pick and place apparatus and method uses a conventional envelope delivery spider which has been adapted to deliver envelopes to an accumulating surface, such as a belt conveyor, in a position with the folded envelope seal flaps facing upward. A rotary guide is positioned with radially extending guide members extending just above the conveyor belt to guide envelopes onto the conveyor in an upright orientation. The conveyor moves the envelopes toward a series of three separately movable, vertically oriented finger supports. The three supports are cooperatively driven to accumulate and compress horizontal stacks of predetermined numbers of envelopes which are then positioned beneath a gripper assembly with a pair of opposed gripper arms. The gripper assembly is lowered into a position in which the gripper arms are inserted on either side of the envelope stack, pulled together and pivoted inward at the bottoms to squeeze the stack from the bottom edges. The assembly is then lifted to pick up the stack from the conveyor.

摘要: A vertically extending stripper bar is manipulated to strip a stack of articles from a conveyor while the conveyor is carrying the articles downwardly at high speed. A carriage is mounted for being vertically movable. A pneumatic cylinder is coupled to the carriage. The stripper bar is supported on horizontal guide rods which slide in the vertically movable carriage. A pneumatic cylinder moves the stripper bar horizontally in and out relative to the conveyor. When the correct number of articles has accumulated next to the bar, a stripping cycle is initiated. This involves activating one pneumatic cylinder which pushes the stripper bar horizontally across the path of the downwardly moving articles. A gear rack is mounted to the vertically movable carriage and it is engaged by a gear which begins to drive the carriage and stripper bar downwardly at the same speed that the articles are moving downwardly at the instant the stripper bar begins to move horizontally. At the instant when the stripping cycle begins, a clutch is engaged to make the gear drive the carriage downwardly by driving the rack. When the stack of articles is cleared of the paddles, the clutch is disengaged and the gear can turn freely. The pneumatic cylinder which is coupled to the carriage drives the carriage upwardly back to its home position in readiness for stripping the next stack to accumulate.

摘要: A machine for vertical transportation of goods from a packing line onto a pallet. The machine includes a vertically movable lifting device provided on a horizontally travelling wagon, the device being provided with lifting forks for receiving and lowering the pieces of packages. Counterweights are provided on the travelling wagon, the counterweights being connected to the lifting device by wires. The counterweights are heavier than the lifting device but the weight thereof is less than the total weight of the lifting device and the thereon loaded pieces of packages. The transmission comprises an endless loop, which is fixedly mounted to the lifting device, which is driven by a motor. During a cycle of operations the pieces of packages are fed from a packing line out onto the lifting forks of the machine until they abut a start impulse switch that starts the motor. Due to the weight of goods, the lifting forks are lowered until they are stopped by the pallet. Then the motor pulls the travelling wagon backwardly. In a rear position, the motor is reversed by a switch. Then, the lifting device provided with the lifting forks is drawn upwardly by the counterweights until it reaches a mechanical stop. The motor continues to be in operation and pulls the travelling wagon forwardly until it reaches a terminal position switch that stops the cycle of operations. The cycle of operations is repeated until the pallet has been loaded up to a desired level.

摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for stacking bundles such as bundles of paperboard sheets on a receiver. The apparatus includes an L-shaped conveyor having a top run and a bottom run. The top run of the conveyor has a position defined by the location of spaced first and second carriers having discrete guide members contacting the conveyor. The carriers are individually elevated with the second carrier being progressively elevated in stages while the first carrier moves up and down from a receiving position to a position corresponding to the current position of the second carrier.
