The invention further includes an air exhaust structure configured to exhaust dust laden air from the interior of the stilling shed.

摘要： A tipple comprising a fixed support having two horizontal parallel rails with inboard and outboard ends and a cradle assembly mounted on the rails including two rocker members each with a curved surface engaging the rails. The cradle assembly supports a vehicle on the rocker members with the center of gravity of the vehicle located relative to the curved surfaces such that the cradle assembly with a loaded vehicle thereon freely rolls from a normal, vertical position through an angle of about 135.degree. to a dumping position. Once the contents of the vehicle have been discharged, the cradle assembly automatically and freely rolls back to its vertical position. The curvature of the curved surface can be formed such that the radial distances from the center of gravity of the vehicle to each curved surface decreases along the curvature. A spring arrangement can be coupled at its opposite ends to the upper ends of the fixed support and cradle assembly to prevent rolling of the cradle through an angle of greater than about 135.degree. and for initiating rolling of the cradle back to its vertical position after unloading.

摘要： A tippling installation for the discharge of bulk goods from large barges comprises a dry basin in which a trough-shaped cradle can have its ends sealed against opposite end walls of the basin in which there are lock gates. The cradle provides a holding vessel into which the barges are floated through the lock gates. After closing the gates and draining the cradle, the barge is tipped by rolling the cradle sideways along guide and support tracks which provide positive location while the barge is held clamped in the cradle. The contents of the barge are discharged into a receiving space from which any liquid is drained to separate it from the discharged solids that are then collected. The arrangement is able to prevent pollution of the waterway by the escape of any of the barge contents during discharge. Because they roll on fixed supports relatively little lifting efforts needs to be expanded and very large barges can be handled.

摘要： A system for rolling a vehicle includes first and second guide tracks. The guide tracks extend over a receptacle positioned to receive cargo being carried by the vehicle. The guide tracks are elongated from an input segment to an output segment of the route. The first and second guide tracks are disposed on opposite sides of the input and output segments. The guide tracks are shaped to engage first and second guides, respectively, that are coupled to the vehicle when the vehicle travels from the input segment of the route toward the output segment of the route and over the receptacle. The guide tracks are curved over the receptacle to translate movement of the vehicle over the receptacle from the input segment of the route to the output segment of the route into a rolling motion of the vehicle that causes the cargo to be dumped into the receptacle.

摘要： A system and method for handling and transporting moist bulk grain by-products include a rail car having an aluminum car body carried by a plurality of trucks for engaging rails. A flexible top cover, supported by a plurality of breakaway curved ribs, is positioned over an open top of the rail car to protect the moist bulk grain by-products carried therein. The car body has a front end and a rear end each having a wind screen for spoiling or deflecting the flow of air over the car as it moves to prevent the flexible top cover from being lost or damaged. The car may be emptied by a car inverter over a conveyor, such as a reciprocating floor which carries the moist grain by-products to a mixer, or transportation vehicles for distribution to customers or users of the grain by-products.
