摘要: A regulation device regulates movement in a width direction of a rolled sheet which is a recording medium of a printer. The regulation device includes: a first rack gear connected to one guide support unit supporting the rolled sheet so that movement to one side of the width direction is regulated, and provided to be movable in the width direction; a second rack gear connected to the other guide support unit supporting the rolled sheet so that movement to the other side of the width direction is regulated, and provided to be movable in the width direction; a pinion gear engaging with the first and second rack gears; and a regulation gear that engages with the first rack gear to rotate and regulates the movement of the first and second rack gears by regulating the rotation.

摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided to minimize waste and improve quality and production in web processing operations. The apparatus and methods provide defect detection in deposition of acquisition material, which on current machines frequently flips and is difficult to detect when it has flipped causing manufacturers to scrap thousands of products. Using the present invention, defects are able to be detected by discerning a difference in the appearance from side to side with a vision camera, and an acquisition inverter can flip the material to a correct orientation.

摘要: A conveying apparatus includes: a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction along a conveyance path; a sheet holder arranged upstream in the conveyance direction from the conveying unit to rotate around an axis, the axis extending in a first direction intersecting with the conveyance direction; a tensioner arranged between the sheet holder and the conveying unit in the conveyance path and configured to apply tension to the sheet with the sheet being curved; and a first side guide attached to the tensioner and having a first guide surface, the first guide surface spreading along the conveyance direction and a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The tensioner includes an oblique roller configured to guide the sheet to the first guide surface.

摘要: In an example of the disclosure, a first optical sensor positioned adjacent to a web path and having a first sensor beam is utilized to identify a first signal value as the first optical sensor detects an eye-mark as the web is moved along the web path. A second optical sensor positioned adjacent to the web path, downstream of the first optical sensor, and having a second sensor beam, is utilized to identify a second signal value as the second optical sensor detects the eye-mark. A lateral misalignment of the web is determined based upon the first signal value, the second signal value, and a lateral offset of the first sensor beam from the second sensor beam.

摘要: Web lifter and/or stabilizer and method of lifting and/or stabilizing a travelling web and for coating a web. The device creates a web hold down force via a negative pressure slot at its exit side, which draws the web down against the surface on the entry side. The device can be actuated to move the web relative to a slot die coater off the die lips and stop the application of slurry to the web, thereby creating uncoated regions on the web surface. The device can then be actuated to move the web back into contact with the coater to start the application of slurry to the web, thereby creating coated regions on the web surface. Web lifting can be accomplished by rotating the device in first and second directions to lift the web off of the slot die coater and return the web back into contact with the coater.

The apparatus and methods provide defect detection both before and after application of component patches to a traveling web to create a product. Web defect detection may be provided by way of at least one visual inspection station located upstream from the patch applicator. Patch defect detection may be accomplished by way of a visual inspection station located proximate the patch applicator. If defects are detected in either the traveling web or the component patch prior to patch application, patch application may be prevented until both a satisfactory web and patch are provided. If defects are detected after patch application, the resulting product may be culled. Furthermore, the apparatus may be provided with diagnostic software to warn against extant or imminent machine complications.
