    摘要: A process for preparing a liquid formulation of salts of sulfonated azo dyes, comprising a) preparing vesuvin from m-phenylenediamine; b) without interveningly isolating the vesuvin coupling an at least equimolar amount of diazotized aminoarylsulfonic acids I H2N—Ar—SO3H  (I), where Ar is phenylene (which may be monosubstituted by sulfo) or naphthalene (which may be mono- or disubstituted by sulfo and/or monosubstituted by hydroxyl) onto vesuvin and c) isolating the dyes in their acid form and subsequently dissolving them in aqueous bases.

    摘要: The ink of the invention comprises (a) a vehicle comprising (1) about 1 to 50 wt % of at least one organic solvent as humectants, and (2) about 0.01 to 20 wt % of at least one water-soluble surfactant or amphiphilic polymer (cationic, anionic, or non-ionic); (b) about 1 to 20 wt % of at least one partial chemically-modified, water-soluble colorant, the colorant having sufficient functional groups associated therewith to be substantially waterfast in deionized water while being sufficiently stable in the ink to avoid flocculation; and (c) the balance water. The use of a partial chemically-modified, water-soluble colorant (macromolecular chromophore) results in an ink that is both waterfast and non-flocculating.

    摘要: If highly concentrated aqueous solutions of azo dyes are prepared directly by diazotization and coupling reactions, appreciable difficulties generally result as a consequence of the fact that the diazotization and coupling reactions give rise to viscous phases which lead to stirring problems in the reaction apparatus used, which in turn results in an incomplete synthesis. The novel process for preparing concentrated aqueous dye solutions of an anionic dye in an aqueous medium overcomes this disadvantage by carrying out the diazotization of the aromatic amine diazo component and/or the coupling reaction between the diazonium salt and the coupling component in the presence of an auxiliary which exerts a viscosity-reducing effect on pasty phases. Examples of such auxiliaries are optionally alkyl-substituted naphthalenesulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensation products, ligninsulfonates, polyacrylates and copolymers of maleic anhydride and methacrylic acid or acrylic acid.
