摘要： Semi-artificial pile fabrics, having a fibrous pile of high density and with the fibres orientated as in natural pelts, are produced by first bonding the tips of the pile fibres of a woolled, furred or haired animal pelt to a temporary backing, leaving the remainder of the pile unbonded, cutting the pile from the skin, and bonding the cut ends of the pile fibres to a permanent backing, whereafter the temporary backing is removed. The temporary backing is preferably attached to the tips of the fibres by a relatively weak bond, so that it can be removed from the finished pile fabric by simply stripping off. If the pile is cut at a location between the temporary backing and the hide of the pelt, two pile materials are simultaneously produced, one comprising the pile on the temporary backing ready for transfer to a permanent backing and the other comprising the residual pile on the original hide.

摘要： A portable motor-driven cutter for cutting off a sheet material includes an eccentric shaft rotatably supported by a gear case and a gear cover, an L-shaped driver arm having an upper end rotatably fitted over an eccentric portion of the eccentric shaft, a cutting blade detachably mounted on the lower end of the driver arm, and a scribing blade detachably mounted on a base on which the gear case is mounted. When the eccentric shaft is rotated by a motor, the cutting blade is moved in an eccentric pattern to cut off a sheet material along a straight line scribed by the scribing blade. The cutting blade and the scribing blade are produced from a single break-off disposable cutter blade.

摘要： An apparatus for use with a sewing machine which has a reciprocating needle which moves in cooperation with a pick to sew materials such as furskins into sections at a sewing zone comprises a carriage which is mounted alongside the machine and is movable through a sewing zone and which is advantageously driven from the sewing machine through a drive means which may be selectively connected to the carriage for moving it. A clamp is employed for clamping the material or the furskin therein which is to be joined from an initial skin portion or section and it is positioned on the carriage for movement with the carriage past the sewing zone for sewing thereof to a previously formed section which is held in a holding bracket which is carried by the carriage for movement therewith through the sewing zone at the same time as the furpiece carried in the clamp.
