摘要： A FOOD SLOTTING DEVICE includes a holding unit, an assembly of slicing blades arranged in a perpendicular fashion, and an affixed cover piece, for creating an elongated cross-hatch pattern of perpendicular slots by partially slicing into one or more surface areas on the body of a food product, generally of an elongated nature, such as a hot dog, wiener, frankfurter, sausage or the like through the directional application of force, such as the METHOD of carrying out such partial slicing denotes. Thereafter the partially sliced food product is easily removed from the slicing blades assembly of the FOOD SLOTTING DEVICE prior to cooking, grilling, or further processing. The slots prevent bursting by permitting gases generated by the cooking process to escape, allowing penetration of the heat to the center of the food product providing quicker cooking thereof, thereby providing for a more palatable and pleasant looking food product.

摘要： A bulb planter includes a pair of blade halves cooperating to form a tubular tool head and a molded plastic handle body forming a pair of handles. The blade halves are preferably metal and riveted to the handle body. The handle body forms a living hinge for selectively pivoting the blade halves upon movement of the handles. The blade halves pivot toward and away from each other between a soil plug cutting position and a soil plug releasing position upon movement of the handles. A resilient member biases the blade halves toward the soil plug cutting position. The resilient member is preferably an elastomer ring encircling the blade halves. The handles extend in opposed directions substantially perpendicular to a central longitudinal axis and are manually movable against the bias of the resilient member to move the blade halves to the soil plug release position.

摘要： A kitchen appliance for cutting material, preferably fruit or vegetables, into strips is disclosed. The kitchen appliance includes a base plate with sliding faces provided on its upper side and at least one row of blades is arranged between said sliding faces and extends essentially transversely to the cutting direction of the appliance. The blades thereof have upper cross webs that form cutting edges which project beyond the sliding faces in height and are fashioned open toward the underside of the base plate. The upper cross webs also include an essentially centrally arranged depressions extending in a direction toward the underside of the base plate. An approach channel is provided on the upper cross web of each of the blades, in front of the depression, for cutting guide channels into the material to be cut. In one embodiment, the channel cutter includes at least one v-shaped approach channel pointing in the direction of the underside of the base plate. In another embodiment, the channel cutter includes at least two v-shaped approach channels pointing in the direction of the upper side of the base plate and an interspace defined by the approach channels and arranged in front of the depression.

摘要： A cake slicer and divider includes a core with a plurality of arms detachably securable thereto to project radially from the core. The core includes locators, such as slots to support the arms, the locators being positioned in an array on the core whereby a plurality of arms may be attached to the core to extend radially from the core. Each pair of adjacent arms defines a segment and the number of segments is variable in dependence on the number of arms that are attached to the core. Each arm is an elongate planar member with a cutting edge on its under edge. A force transmitting member is provided at an upper end of the core whereby hand pressure on the force transmitting member imparts a downward force on the core and arms to cause the cutting edges of the arms to slice the cake into segments enclosed between adjacent planar members so that the slicer and divider when in situ with the sliced cake protects the segments from air contact.
