Abstract: A laundry drying machine includes: a cabinet, a drum disposed inside the cabinet and configured to accommodate a target object, a driving unit configured to rotate the drum, and an electric field generator spaced apart from the drum and configured to generate an electric field inside the drum. The drum includes: a drum body having a cylindrical shape and accommodating the target object, a ground electrode that is in contact with an outer circumferential surface of the drum body, and a support roller that is in contact with the outer circumferential surface and that is configured to, based on the drum body rotating, support the drum body in a direction of the ground electrode, and a shortest distance between a central axis of the support roller and the ground electrode is less than a sum of a diameter of the drum body and a radius of the support roller.

Abstract: A dryer appliance and steam generation system is provided. The dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber for receipt of articles for drying. The drum includes a plurality of openings allowing fluid communication into the chamber. An induction heating element is positioned on a non-ferrous substrate. The non-ferrous substrate is positioned between the induction heating element and a ferrous substrate. The ferrous substrate is positioned in an interior volume, and a nozzle is positioned in the interior volume to eject water onto the ferrous substrate. The induction heating element is positioned fluidly separate from the water ejected from the nozzle.

Abstract: A combination washer and dryer appliance includes a cabinet, a drum housing and a drum with a drum wall that defines a laundry compartment. A drying air circulation path extends from an inlet positioned a drum wall to an outlet positioned in fluid communication with the laundry compartment. A filter coil is disposed adjacent to the drying air inlet. A condensing system includes the filter coil located on the drum wall at the drying air inlet and a second coil located in the cabinet and outside of the drying air circulation path. The filter coil and second coil are arranged in fluid communication and containing a heat-transfer fluid such that the filter coil acts as both a lint filter. A condenser dehumidifies drying air entering the drying air inlet and such that the second coil acts as a heat exchanger for transferring heat to ambient air located inside the cabinet.

The electric field generator includes an anode electrode spaced apart from the drum, fixed to the cabinet, and configured to apply the electric field to the target object, a power supply unit configured to supply the power to the anode electrode, and a matcher configured to match a source impedance of the power and an impedance of a load side. The drum is configured to rotate at an agitating rotation speed in a state in which the power supplied to the anode electrode is stopped, the agitating rotation speed being (i) greater than 0 rpm and (ii) less than 50 rpm.
