摘要: This application discloses an improved downhole assembly for separating oil and gas in an oil well. A flow through assembly is disclosed wherein separated gas may pass an anchoring device with less restriction. The improved flow through assembly allows for separated gas to pass through the center flow channel of an anchoring device.

摘要: An internal assembly (230) for a tool (200) includes a retainer (232) that at least partially defines an axial bore (238). The retainer (232) further defines a port (246) providing a path of fluid communication from an exterior of the retainer to the bore (238). The internal assembly (230) also includes an electromagnet (250) coupled to the retainer (232). The electromagnet (250) is configured to actuate between an on state and an off state and to attract magnetic debris in a fluid when in the on state. The internal assembly (230) also includes a sleeve (260) that is configured to be positioned downstream from the retainer (232). The sleeve (260) at least partially defines the bore (238). The sleeve (260) further defines a port (262) that provides a path of fluid communication from the bore (238) to an exterior of the sleeve (260). The internal assembly (230) also includes a valve (270) configured to be positioned downstream from the port (262) in the sleeve (260).

摘要: A sand separating apparatus for use with a production tubing string includes (i) a housing assembly forming an outer tubular and (ii) an inner tubular within the housing assembly to define an annular passage between the inner tubular and the housing assembly. A helical member occupies part of the annular passage below production openings in the housing assembly whereby a flow of production fluids entering from the wellbore is directed downwardly along a helical path within the annular passage as dictated by the helical member and subsequently upwardly through the inner tubular. The helical member extends radially outwardly from the inner tubular beyond a boundary surface at an outer perimeter of the annular passage to prevent formation of a gap at the tip of the helical member as it wears. A fluid passage in alignment with the helical member extends radially from inside the inner tubular to the annular passage.

摘要: A process for the reduction of flaring/venting gases during completions operations on an oil/gas well, said process comprising providing a well in need of completion; providing a system to capture oil and gas generated by the well; the system including a primary separator to separate an incoming well stream into a plurality of streams wherein a first stream is sent to a pipeline and a second stream is sent for further processing. The process further includes flowing and collecting a third stream of gas in a gas pressure vessel; compressing the collected gas in the vessel until parameters of compressed gas are compressed to provide a constant feed to the pipeline; and transferring the compressed gas to the gas pipeline wherein the process reduces the amount of gas flared and/or vented during operation by over 80%.

摘要: A system for recovering natural gas liquid from a source, comprising: a heat exchanger for cooling wellstream fluid directed therethrough; a first separator for receiving the fluid from the heat exchanger for separating liquid and gas; in a first configuration, the gas from the first separator being directed to a turbo-expander for reducing the temperature and pressure of the gas to form a cold fluid; the cold fluid being directed to a second separator for separating liquid and gas; gas from the second separator being directed to the heat exchanger where it flows therethrough for cooling the wellstream fluid; wherein if the turbo-expander is not operating, the first configuration may be a changed to a second configuration to bypass the turbo-expander and direct the gas from the second separator to a Joule-Thomson valve to form the cold fluid.
