    摘要: Systems and methods to increase intake air flow to a gas turbine engine of a hydraulic fracturing unit when positioned in an enclosure may include providing an intake expansion assembly to enhance intake air flow to the gas turbine engine. The intake expansion assembly may include an intake expansion wall defining a plurality of intake ports positioned to supply intake air to the gas turbine engine. The intake expansion assembly also may include one or more actuators connected to a main housing of the enclosure and the intake expansion assembly. The one or more actuators may be positioned to cause the intake expansion wall to move relative to the main housing between a first position preventing air flow through the plurality of intake ports and a second position providing air flow through the plurality of intake ports to an interior of the enclosure.

    摘要: A deflecting device for protecting a jet engine of an aircraft from damage caused by a bird strike. The bird strike deflection device attaches to an opening in the front of a cowling of the jet engine to shield an engine air intake from ingesting a bird that would otherwise damage the engine. A conically shaped screening portion having an open mesh pattern is attached to the cowling in a convex orientation. A perimeter of the screening portion terminates in a rim sized to fit the engine intake opening in the cowling. The rim may be directly attached to the cowling or an attachment flange may connect the rim to the cowling. The deflecting device may be completely removable from, hingedly attached to, or integrated directly into the cowling.

    摘要: An air intake structure for a nacelle of an aircraft is disclosed having an air intake lip with a U-shaped section open towards the rear, an acoustic panel that extends the air intake lip towards the rear and on an inner side, an outer panel extending the air intake lip towards the rear and on an outer side, and a rear strengthening frame fixed between the outer panel and the acoustic panel, where the rear strengthening frame partly defines an inner volume that is immediately in front of the rear strengthening frame. The air intake structure comprises an impact absorber element positioned in the inner volume and the impact absorber element assumes the form of a structure that is deformable during an impact and that is at least partially filled with a fluid. The impact absorber element is a flexible shroud filled with a pressurized gas.
