    摘要: In one aspect, there is provided a damper control system for a reciprocating pump assembly according to which control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, there is provided a method of dampening vibrations in a pump drivetrain according to which a beginning of torque variation is detected and at least a portion of the torque variation is negated. In another aspect, signals or data associated with pump characteristics are received from sensors, torque characteristics and damper response voltages per degree of crank angle are calculated, and control signals are sent to electromagnets. In another aspect, a damper system includes a fluid chamber configured to receive a magnetorheological fluid; a flywheel disposed at least partially within the fluid chamber and adapted to be operably coupled to a fluid pump crankshaft; and a magnetic device proximate the flywheel. The magnetic device applies a variable drag force to the flywheel.

The viscous brake is a device acting as a function of the rotation speed, in which a higher speed generates a higher braking power caused by the increase of friction among the disks and the fluid. The arrangement may comprise more than one mobile and static disk assemblies, as well as a hollow axis instead of a solid one, to allow housing the pumping rod inside the axis, and may also comprise an anti-reverse bearing.

    摘要: A rotational speed control device maintains a shaft rotation speed. The device includes a housing containing a viscous fluid and a shaft disposed in the housing and rotatable relative to the housing. A rotor is coupled with the shaft for rotation in the viscous fluid. In one arrangement, the rotor is axially displaceable along the shaft between a low-shear position and a high-shear position. A spring mechanism is disposed in the housing and biases the rotor toward the low-shear position. In another arrangement, the rotor may be designed to cooperate with the housing or other nonrotating features within the housing to vary a shear gap according to radially expanding components of the rotor. The rotor, housing and spring mechanism can be designed to cooperate to create large changes in braking torque in response to small changes in shaft rotational speed. This allows the rotation speed to be controlled within a relatively narrow range.

A cover is mounted and welded on a shoulder surface of the wall of the casing in such a way as to close the chamber in a sealed manner. A rotor which is mounted rotatably on the casing and comprises a disc portion, adapted to rotate within the chamber, and has a shaft portion extending axially from the disc portion and emerging through the cover so as to be operationally associable with a movable member. The cover has peripherally a collar-like protuberance, extending along the entire perimeter of the cover and coupled to the inner surface of the wall of the casing in such a way as to oppose the infiltration of the viscous fluid between the collar-like protuberance and the inner surface of the wall.
