Abstract:
A device disclosed herein is used with an electric submersible pump (ESP) assembly disposed on tubing in a well. A housing of the device connects between tubing and pump. A shaft in the housing can rotate in response to imparted rotation associated with the pump and permanent magnet (PM) motor. A piston in the housing can move longitudinally relative to the shaft in response to a pressure differential across the piston. A clutch on the piston can engage and disengage with a distal end of the shaft in response to the piston's movement of the piston. Additionally or alternatively, a key on the piston can engage and disengage with a pocket on the shaft. The engagement of the clutch and/or key can prevent imparted rotation associated with the pump and the PM motor.

Abstract:
An automatic transmission is provided, which includes a transmission case having a vertical wall part, a clutch disposed on a first side of the vertical wall part in an axial direction, a given component disposed on the second side of the vertical wall part, and a sleeve having a cylindrical body and a flange part coupled to the second side of the vertical wall part and disposed radially inward of the given component. The hydraulic fluid is supplied to the clutch from radially inward of the clutch through the vertical wall part. An oil supply passage is configured to supply the hydraulic fluid to the radially inward of the clutch through a first oil passage extending in the axial direction via a coupling part between the vertical wall part and the flange part, a second oil passage inside the flange part, and a third oil passage inside the cylindrical body.

Abstract:
A hydraulic gearbox actuator with a hydraulic pump which has a pump body wherein a rotor is arranged, wherein a drive motor is provided with which the rotor can be driven in opposite directions, wherein two working chambers which are separated from each other are formed in the pump body, the working chambers each having two openings, of which at least three openings are connected to a respective pressure supply circuit, the one side of which is connected to a reservoir and the other side of which is connected to one of three pressure outlets of the gearbox actuator.
Abstract:
A dual action hydraulic clutch system. The system includes a master cylinder having an outer piston therein, wherein the outer piston includes a channel therethrough that can receive an inner piston therein. A gap is formed between the outer and inner pistons, such that activation of the outer piston activates the inner piston once the outer piston has traveled a length of the gap. The outer piston forces hydraulic fluid through an outer outlet connected to a hydraulic clutch, and the inner piston forces hydraulic fluid through an inner outlet connected to a rear brake, allowing a user to simultaneously disengage the clutch and engage the rear brake. A lever is connected to the outer piston, such that the lever can move the outer piston between a resting position, a clutch position, and a brake position. The master cylinder can secure to a support surface via a mounting bracket thereon.
Abstract:
A hydraulic power take-off is provided for use with industrial drives. The hydraulic power take-off has a multiple-force brake system that facilitates actively slowing large inertial loads associated with a heavy rotating mass of an industrial machine. The multiple-force brake system applies different braking forces at different times to control deceleration of the heavy rotating mass in the industrial machine to reduce its stopping time. The multiple-force brake system may include a clutch assembly and a brake assembly. A control system may control the clutch and brake assemblies to provide the multiple-force brake system a relatively higher energy brake engagement state and a relatively lower energy brake engagement. This may include alternating between the higher and lower energy brake engagement states to pulse between high and low pressure braking to facilitate cooling of the system while slowing the large inertial loads.
Abstract:
A method of operating a hydraulic retarder including directing fluid from a retarder pump to the retarder when the retarder is turned on. Fluid from a main pump is directed to a torque converter, which fluid is directed to at least one of a lube operation, a tank or a cooler when the retarder is turned off. Fluid from the main pump by way of the torque converter is directed to the retarder when the retarder is on, but not filled, and to the tank or the lube operation when the retarder is filled.
Abstract:
A system for supplying fluid to transmission control elements includes a body producing clutch-apply pressures and a lube source, clutches, each clutch including a servo and a balance volume, a shaft including passages, a support including paths communicating each of the clutch-apply pressures and the lube source to a respective passage, and a clutch hub communicating clutch-apply pressure from each of the passages to a respective servo, and communicating the lube source to the balance volumes.
Abstract:
A hydraulic assembly for driving and controlling small hydraulic units, such as hydraulic cylinders of a brake and/or clutch of a forestry winch, is disclosed. The hydraulic assembly includes a means for establishing and also maintaining a pre-determined pressure of a hydraulic media. The hydraulic assembly is characterized by as low as possible hydraulic loss. Also, a quantity of hydraulic media required for a regular operation and maintaining the pressure within the hydraulic assembly is as low as possible.
