    摘要: A combustion chamber is defined by a cylinder block, a cylinder head, and a piston. The cylinder block includes a block body that has a cylinder inner wall covered by a coat layer. The coat layer includes: a heat-shielding layer that covers an upper end of the cylinder inner wall, a piston ring not slidingly contacting the upper end; a heat-insulating layer arranged on a back side of the heat-shielding layer; and a heat diffusion layer arranged between the heat-insulating layer and the heat-shielding layer. Regarding thermal conductivity, the heat-insulating layer is lower than the block body, the heat-shielding layer is lower than the block body and the heat-insulating layer, and the heat diffusion layer is higher than the heat-insulating layer and the heat-shielding layer. The heat diffusion layer includes a side end edge and an extending portion, each of which abuts the block body.

    摘要: A hydraulic cylinder with a load distribution nut connected to an end cap reduces fatigue experience by the end cap portion of the cylinder. The load distribution nut separates the axial load generated in the system from a single to multiple load paths. By introducing additional load paths, the load experienced by the traditional load path is reduced. Additionally, the load experienced by the end cap can be tailored by modifying the design of the load distribution nut and end cap. By either increasing or decreasing the surface area of the load distribution nut the axial load reduction on the end cap is correspondingly decreased or increased.

    摘要: Provided is a high-pressure fuel pump which can fix a cylinder to a pump body using a simple structure, and can reduce a displacement amount inward in a radial direction of the cylinder. A high-pressure fuel pump includes a pump body which is formed with a pressing chamber and a cylinder which is inserted in a hole formed in the pump body. The cylinder is swaged to the hole by pressing a convex portion on an outside in a radial direction to fit into the hole on an opposite side to the pressing chamber, by screwing a formed screw thread into the hole, or by being swaged with the opposite side to the pressing chamber. The cylinder is formed with a clearance in the radial direction with respect to the hole of the pump body all over a region from a bonding portion to an upper end.

    摘要: A member having a sliding contact surface that exerts a reduced frictional force when making sliding contact with a prescribed member and retains the lubricating oil more uniformly is provided. The sliding contact surface is a honed surface having flat plateau parts and groove parts. As calculated in regard to the sliding contact surface by using a mean line derived from a cross-sectional curve of the sliding contact surface in accordance with ISO 13565-1, a ten-point average roughness is 0.6-7.0 μm, a load length ratio at a cut level of 20% is 60-98%, an effective load roughness is 0-1 μm, and a mean value of intervals between the groove parts having a depth of 0.2 μm or greater from the mean line is 79-280 μm.
