    摘要： A multi-pass drying process for a wet substance is disclosed. Said multi-pass drying process comprises the steps of passing the wet substance through at least two different drying stages to produce a semi-dried product between the drying stages, with stirring and ventilating the semi-dried product between each drying stage, wherein the wet substance or the semi-dried product is subjected to compression while being heated in at least one of the drying stages. The multi-pass process ensures a high degree of control over the final dried product and allows certain flexibility to ensure higher throughput. Such a multi-pass drying process is suitable when seeking to obtain food products such as dried food premix or food ingredients, where the final dried product needs to be of high dryness to attain longer shelf life, high nutritional content, strong aroma and to be superior in other organoleptic properties.

    摘要： A rotary drum dryer dries a slurry into discrete solid particles. The dryer contains three long horizontal cylinders: an outer cylinder, a perforated cylinder inside the outer cylinder, and an inner cylinder inside the perforated cylinder. As the cylinders rotate, slurry in the outer cylinder is compressed through the perforated cylinder by the inner cylinder and deposited onto the inner wall surface of the outer cylinder in discrete masses. The masses are dried as the cylinder rotates and then are removed by a scraper and conveyed outside the dryer for further treatment and/or packaging.

    摘要： An apparatus for dewatering aqueous sludge is disclosed. A porous drum is partially immersed in a sludge pond. A porous belt is connected between the drum and a roller which moves the belt. As the belt moves, the sludge adheres to the belt. A vacuum is drawn on the interior of the drum, removing some of the water. Sludge which is conveyed on the belt is frozen as it approaches the roller. The frozen sludge is broken into smaller cakes as it leaves the roller. The frozen cakes are subsequently dethawed providing a solid residue which is disposed.
