摘要: A revolver cylinder is rotated at least approximately at a speed that corresponds to the normal rate of fire of a weapon. When a predetermined loading step is reached, the trigger of the weapon is controlled such that fire can be opened essentially without delay. The weapon is fired without break immediately after (with) the loading process. At the same time, the weapon is transferred, thus only directly before firing, from a secure SAFE state to the CHARGED state, whereby the safety standards of the weapon are significantly improved. The time during which the weapon is in the state of operational and firing readiness and not in the SAFE state is minimized or entirely eliminated, which considerably increases the operating safety. Extending the time in the SAFE state allows the level of testing for the weapon (for example for the trigger) to be greater, which in turn results in greater reliability of the weapon.

摘要: An ammunition storage and retrieval system comprises a passive magazine having left and right backs of cells arranged in rows, with each cell accommodating a projectile in vertical, base-down orientation; the cells and cell rows being defined by adjacent pairs of elongated superstructures. A projectile loading head is movably mounted by a traveling beam, in turn, movably mounted by elevated rails, such that the loading head may be translated through a center aisle to address a selected row in either bank and then through the selected row to a selected cell for downloading of a projectile therein. A projectile receiver, dependent from the loading head, includes projectile gripping arms and a projectile lifting foot, which are articulated in coordination with operation of projectile locking members mounted by the superstructures to effect downloading.

摘要: The high cycle rate transfer device invention disclosed herein enables a continuous conveyance of material in a limited space envelope. Particularly, a roller chain is driven by a center sprocket with outboard rollers on the chain running in a track so that material can be moved in both directions. Pawls on each end of the chain are used to urge the material. Each time the chain is moved, a pawl folding and unfolding mechanism maintains the pawls in a proper position and timed relation to each other.

A rammer subassembly is engaged with the drum cam and the first track. The rammer subassembly is configured to move between an extended position and a retracted position as the drum cam rotates. The rammer subassembly has a first rammer section engaged with the cam path and configured to move longitudinally during rotation of the drum cam. The first rammer section includes a first gear engaged with the first track such that longitudinal movement of the first rammer section causes rotation of the first gear. A second rammer section is telescopically coupled with the first rammer section and is engaged with the first gear such that rotation of the first gear causes the second rammer section to telescopically move with respect to the first rammer section.

摘要: A weapon system uses caseless munitions. In order to permit a further use of the weapon system essentially without delay on jamming, a configuration of the weapon system is disclosed that has a weapon barrel, a projectile magazine with individual chambers and a propellant charge magazine with individual chambers. In order to guarantee a firing position, the projectile magazine and the propellant charge magazine, may be moved relative to the weapon barrel. The projectile magazine has a chamber located in a discharge position in which an ejector device for the projectile in the chamber may be activated. A further chamber of the projectile magazine may be loaded in the movement position for the projectile magazine and the propellant charge magazine has a chamber, located in a discharge position in which an ejector device for the propellant charge in the chamber may be activated. The further chamber of the propellant charge magazine may be loaded in the movement position of the propellant charge magazine.
