Certain embodiments reduce the opportunity for contact between the harvester and the harvested member by providing mechanical means for removing the harvested member from a spear. The invention method includes, in one case, the steps of impaling the marine species member, removing the member from the impaling device, and securing the removed member in a manner to prevent contact with the harvester during each step of the method.

    摘要： A spearing system includes a pitch fork that has a handle and a plurality of tines. The handle may be manipulated. Each of the tines may puncture an object. Thus, the object may be retrieved from a support surface without requiring a user to bend over. A release is slidably coupled to the pitch fork and the release may be manipulated. The release is positioned adjacent to the tines. The release is positionable in a retracted position such that the release allows the tines to puncture the object. The release is positionable in a deployed position such that the release may release the object from the tines.

    摘要： A device configured to collect and dispel pinecones is provided. The device includes a handle, and a collecting head. The collecting head includes a plurality of prongs extending outwardly from an outer surface of the head. A sliding block having a plurality of holes configured to receive a corresponding prong is slidingly attached to the shaft. A biasing member having one end fixedly attached to the shaft and the other end attached to the sliding block continuously urges the sliding block against the head so as to allow the prongs to protrude through the respective holes. Accordingly, the device is configured to stick a plurality of pinecones wherein the sliding block may be pushed so as to displace the sliding block forward of the head pushing the pinecones off the prongs and into the receptacle.
