    摘要: A focus detecting device includes a light receiving device which receives reflection light from an object of focus detection, an auxiliary light device which illuminates the object of focus detection with auxiliary light, and a control circuit which controls an illuminating action of the auxiliary light device and performs focus detection on the basis of a received-light signal output of the light receiving device. While the auxiliary light device is in process of being controlled to illuminate the object of focus detection, the control circuit compares the received-light signal output of the light receiving device with a prescribed value and causes the focus detection being made by controlling the auxiliary light device to stop if the received-light signal output is less than the prescribed value.

    摘要: A distance distribution measuring method includes the steps of disposing an image pickup on the optic axis of a projection optical system, forming on the image pickup the images of objects existing in multiple directions through the projection optical system, progressively varying the spacing in the direction of the optic axis between the projection optical system and the image pickup, extracting substantially in-focus one of the object images on the image pickup for each amount of spacing along with the step of varying the spacing, and finding the distance to an object corresponding to each object image extracted at the step of extracting, on the basis of the amount of spacing when the object image is extracted, thereby obtaining the distances to the objects existing in the multiple directions and measuring the distance distribution.

    摘要: An output device for range information for use in an interchangeable lens includes a range ring of the interchangeable lens which is first preset at an extreme position, namely, a position at infinity or at close range, and a CPU disposed in the interchangeable lens for producing absolute range information relative to the extreme position on the basis of pulses which are generated in response to data stored in the CPU and rotating of the range ring. A camera system includes rotatable and manually operable operating members which are located on a camera accessory. Rotation of the operating members results in the generation of pulses and the rotation detection device uses the pulses for detecting rotation of the operating members. An output from the detecting means serves to control a motor drive to focus an interchangeable lens.

    摘要: A focus detection device includes a focus adjustable objective lens for forming an image of an object, first and second image forming lenses for forming first and second images of the image of the object, and first and second image sensors for sensing the first and second images so as to generate first and second signals representative of light intensity distributions of the first and second images. A first calculating member calculates a distance between the first and second images in accordance with the first and second signals, a second calculating member for calculating an amount of deviation of the image relative to a focal plane in accordance with the distance calculated by the first calculating member. A main portion determining member determines a location of a main portion of the first image in accordance with the first signal and a correction member corrects one of the calculation results obtained by the first and second calculating members when the determination of the main portion determining member indicates that the main portion is located outside a central portion of the first image, thus lessening error due to wave front aberration.

The outputs of the sensor groups are digitized then calculations are performed to determine the distance and direction to the position of correct focus. The lens is then moved to the focused position directly in accordance wtih the computed values.
