摘要: The present technology relates to an automatically locking, releasable, safety knob assembly for a stove. The assembly includes a base with a locking notch. An adapter mates with the stove's valve stem and has a head, a tubular middle section, and an adapter base with a central aperture for receiving the valve stem. The knob includes a housing with a housing disk covering the base, an arm movement channel aligned with the locking notch in the locked configuration, and a central aperture for receiving the adapter head. The assembly further includes a sub-assembly with a slidable button allowing free rotation of the knob in the unlocked configuration, an automatic locking arm biased with the slidable button, and engagement with the button causing the arm to disengage from the locking notch and move in the arm movement channel, enabling the knob to freely rotate and rotate the valve stem.

摘要: In certain embodiments, an electronic input device includes a knob assembly defining an annular cavity and including a magnetically attractable armature. The electronic input device also includes a ratchet assembly disposed within the annular cavity and includes a ring magnet. The electronic input device includes a clutch mechanism that has a friction disc assembly, and an electromagnet configured to generate a magnetic field that shifts the friction disc assembly between a first position in which the friction disc assembly prevents rotation of the ratchet assembly and a second position in which the ratchet assembly is free to rotate with the knob assembly. The ring magnet of the ratchet assembly interacts with the magnetically attractable armature to generate a ratcheting feedback in response to rotation of the knob assembly when the friction disc assembly is in the first position.

摘要: A controller controls an operating device. The operating device includes an operating member capable of being pushed by an operator, a biasing unit biasing the operating member in a return direction, a detecting unit configured to detect a distance of movement of the operating member and output a detection signal indicating the distance of movement, and a braking unit configured to brake movement of the operating member. In response to determining, based on the detection signal, that the operating member is pushed into a predetermined retracted position, the controller causes the braking unit to hold the operating member pushed. In response to determining, based on the detection signal, that the operating member is moved in the return direction because of a clearance in a drive transmission system between the operating member and the braking unit, the controller causes the braking unit to stop holding the operating member.
